The reason is isn't getting blown up in the media is because the NBA gives zero fricks about Collison.

IMO there isn't a player on the Pacers that has the kind of profile needed to warrant that attention, because not many people know much about the Pacers.

Damn Collison should have done a little acting job and laid there for a minute.

Most people on this board backing a suspension in the playoffs for a marquis player, really do love a heavy handed commissioner, despite what they may have posted about Goodell.

Around here, NFL>>>>>NBA.

If the Goddell uses his power against players, shite would not go well around here. If Stern uses his power against players a different tune is sung.

Brian Windhorst ? @WindhorstESPN

The NBA will not upgrade or further punish Dwyane Wade for his flagrant foul on Darren Collison last night.

of course they won't.

I don't understand how ANYONE could take Stern seriously. The worst, most obviously biased commish in any sport in at least 30 years.

Wade is a plug. He would have been wheeled off in a wheelchair of someone did it to him

Wade is watching the man with the ball the whole time and takes the angle that bumps (synonymn : run over) collinson. It is what it is, baby flagrant foul.
You would have thought he would have seen the ball coming right at his head had he been watching it the whole time instead of lowering his shoulder and then extending his arm to "bump" Collinson.

I think he was mad the officials didn't bail him out on the other end and just made a boneheaded play.

I really don't think it is suspension worthy, but it is tough to differentiate between this and the Smith/Griffin play when you watch them back to back.

Windhorst has to be the most blatant example of a reporter just latching on to stars success to increase his own career.

He somehow got access to Lebron and has just ridden the coattails of that access.

"Oh yeah he mad" but the angles will keep him from getting busted.

Griffin vs Smith: Griffin angling towards the goal with ball, Smith angling towards Griffin and had the cutt off but through his bigass into Griffin.

Collinson vs Wade: Collinson angling towards the goal without the ball, Player 2 with ball parallel to Collinson looking to pass, Wade moving towards passing lane of Player 2 and bumps Collinson.

Thats my defense attorney work.

Pretty sure that's what a judge would do if you argued that in a courtroom.

LINK

From the video, it seems quite clear that Wade was so intent on getting the pass he knocked Collison out of the way and managed to intercept the pass with his face.

And apparently, Wade is uncoordinated enough that he ran directly into the back of Collison while not even attempting to extend his arm to get the pass (and ended up getting hit in the face with the pass).

It's pretty clear that Wade did exactly what he intended. And that that it occurred in the playoffs and that Wade is a superstar are the reasons why he won't be suspended.

What else would be the defense?

He loses attention of the ball as he runs something over and takes a pass to the temple. He is the victim here, collinson's teamatte threw the ball at wades head as revenge for running over his pg. Fact! But i will leave it up to you, jury, defender of the people, to make the right choice.
