Dude they are a tiny school in a tiny conference in the middle of fricking nowhere and made the elite 8...that is legit.

Yeah. They were well seated this year I guess. But you guys don't recall all of the other times they've been seated highly and lost to shitty teams? This year was no surprise. A lot of people picked them to beat Duke, so this is not unfounded.

*seeded.

There are not shitty teams in the tournament and in a do or die scenario crazy shite happens.

Mark Few is one of the best in the business and the Zags are always a good team under him.

Not sure who is responsible for the height of their seats.

Yeah, those chairs on the bench looked pretty solid.

That's the perks of gettin a 2 seed. You usually have a cakewalk to the sweet 16

Even if Notre Dame beats Wichita State, you know it will lose to Kentucky and idiots like me will say, “I told you Mike Brey sucks! He can’t even get to the Final Four with the best team he’s ever had!” Same goes for Mark Few and Gonzaga. Nobody will remember in five years that they ended up losing to opponents with 6,000 McDonald’s All Americans on their rosters, or that either team likely would have made the Final Four if they were in the East. All that will matter is that Brey and Few had their strongest teams ever and still couldn’t get the job done. What a bummer. - Mark Titus

I've said it before and I'm sure I'll say it again.

They weren't overrated this year.

If you want to question why it took them this long to make another elite 8 run, that might be fair.

Still, I think their only big flop was going out in the 2nd round as a 1 seed a couple of years ago and that was to a team that ended up making the Final Four.

How are they overrated? They got a 6 seed and played like a 2 seed.

I look at more the history of their performance in the NCAA rather than just this year. You guys are so short sighted.

When highly seeded in recent history, they do this:
2004: #2 seed - lose to #10 seed in round of 32
2005: #3 seed - lose to #6 seed in round of 32
2006: #3 seed - lose to #2 seed in sweet 16
2013: #1 seed - lose to #9 seed in round of 32
2015: #2 seed - lose to #1 seed in elite 8

So this year was an outlier. I'll also add to their overrated status because of people picking them to make the final four or better whenever they are seeded highly.

Shut up idiot

A #2 seed getting to the elite 8 is pretty reasonable

They've earned their seed every time.
the tourney performance, which is hardly the worst in the world, probably relates to the lack of intense competition in their league. Just not enough challenging games.

They seem to be a trendy pick for people, I'll give you that.

But in two of the years you listed, they lost to the higher seed and they are rarely go out in the 1st round.
