There are only 2 teams left in that conference

They're getting back to normal next season. They backfilled with scrub teams.

No numerically named conference is accurate anymore.

They’re poverty… cant afford a simple piece of plain padding

Technically, they still are a member of the PAC-12. It’s the official name of the conference, which has Oregon State and Washington State. And as someone else said, they are adding more schools.

Is this a serious question?

They should stay Independent in baseball because that will be a dog shite baseball league.
Miami baseball was Independent during their Big East years

Because you touch yourself at night.

In baseball they are considered “Independent”. Now in football they are still PAC 12.

nothing technical about it

The PAC 12 never officially “died” even though most of the member schools bailed out.
Oregon State and Wazzu were the ones left standing once the musical chairs game ended but they remained as official PAC 12 conference members and as others have pointed out already, the conference went about adding some schools back.
The conference will go forward as a much lesser perceived version of what it once was …but it does indeed live on.

But then they won’t have much of a home schedule

for almost 30 years it was the Pac 8, then the Pac 10
when it adds teams I hope it goes to the correct number

They'd have to figure something out because their SOS in the new Pac would be brutal

Because the Pac2 sounds pornographic

They have never left the PAC-12 conference in football. The PAC-12 is a 2 member football league in both 2024 and 2025. The backfills will come in the 2026-27 school year.
They are playing in the WCC in all sports except for football in the 2024-25 school year and the 2025-26 school year.
They currently have gotten back up to 7 teams in football and 8 teams in other sports. (Gonzaga is a non football member.)
However, they have to get back up to 8 football members by July 1, 2026 or else they won’t be recognized by the NCAA as a conference. The NCAA has a 2 year grace period for conferences to be below 8 teams.
And it’s not clear how they’re going to get an 8th football team or who it will be.

Their conference schedule should be six games against other. Not because it makes sense but because they would be so sick of each other, it would turn into an intense rivalry between two pretty bad football programs.

That's what FSU and Miami did until UM joined the ACC. It's still a good rivalry but not like it was when they played 6 times a year

I could never keep up with that shite anyway. Who are the 10s? Who are the 12s? Are they PACs? Or Bigs? Why attempt to learn it when it could change every year.

Fresno State won a championship and San Diego State has always been solid. Gonzaga and Wazzu are respectable too.
