No, so are they changing the rule by calling traveling only when guarded? So why not just walk the ball down from the end of the court until someone is guarding you?

That would be "triggering" to today's student(-athlete)s.

NBA, stars are allowed to get away with anything.

LeBron never dribbles inside the three point line. He runs with the ball more than Ezekiel Elliott.

that's not the point. he broke the rule. call a travel.
You keep giving them an inch and eventually you get something like this that has major implications

The thing that pisses me off the most is when they do call a travel. you can't pick and choose who and when you want to enforce the rules.
quote:
a. A player who receives the ball while standing still may pivot, using either foot as the pivot foot. b. A player who receives the ball while he is progressing or upon completion of a dribble, may take two steps in coming to a stop, passing or shooting the ball.
It says "a player" but it should say, a "superstar" or "a player about to make a nice dunk"

In the pros and the NCAA tourney you get unlimited steps it appears.

The lack of enforcement of the rules makes b-ball almost unwatchable.
