The NFL running back thing isn't as bad as Griner complaining about being paid 4 times the US avg salary for 3 months of basketball

Any WNBA player complaining about their pay should immediately be told to stfu.

Their league operates at a loss every year.

It is quite LITERALLY a handout to WNBA players.

people are under this idea that pro athletes should just never complain about anything, and if they do they're ungrateful for what they

You should absolutely not complain publicly about money when you're a top 1% earner.

I would love to see the media and public's response if a CEO or large corporate founder complained about their income. And they do far more for society than athletes.

The fact that a lot of these guys are making more per game than most people make in a year is enough for me to not care about their "slave wages" mentality.

Take your athletic body and the 3 years you played college ball and get a job with Boh Brothers being a rod buster.

Why do fans care about how much someone else makes?

Because they don't live in the world and have everyone telling them they are special.

It’s divisive, that’s why the media covers it so heavily.

Barkley simply hosed himself because he’s been the man probably since he played youth sports. But, he’s finally run into smart people who have no incentive to pat him on his back like his high school and college coaches and teammates did. He’s the same type who today would have portaled from PSU to Oklahoma then to Bama.

As for his accounting for a high percentage of the offense, well no kidding. He was the starting RB. That’s like saying that the starting point guard has more assists than the back up center which means nothing. He’s a good RB who can’t stay on the field. They offered him an incredible contract and he turned it down. One day he’ll be honest with himself and be pissed at the man in the mirror.
