a very crucial bit of information: are the points 2/3 or 1/2?

if 1/2, then you have to go curry/durant

I’m still trying to figure out how these three pairings aren’t under consideration?

Shaq/Lebron?
Duncan/Kwahi?
Bird/Maravich?

They played together - assuming their primes they would do well.

That’s why you can’t just assume their primes. A lot of odd HOF pairings happened “off age”. There has to be other criteria for a duo.

Honestly, Shaq/Lebron is probably the GOAT duo in a 2 on 2. I was just trying to keep it to Lakers duos that have played together

Kyrie/Lebron duo is being overlooked

Kyrie would be a bad man in 2 on 2

Westbrook/Durant also being overlooked in the same fashion

This duo would cause many to cry - launching from half-Court

There is also a

Dr. J/Barkley pairing (if just prime).
Moses Malone/David Robinson

They could wreck some shop

as badass as LeBron is, it'd be pretty tough for anyone to beat Kobe/Shaq in this scenario. Although, LeBron would have a better shot at Shaq than most lol

Are we talking half court or full court? No way Shaq survives a full court game like that.

If I were commissioner, then this would be the new All Star Weekend. You can still have the All-Star game if you want, but the rest of the weekend would be each team sending their best duo to play in the tournament.

are we playing make em take em and true street ball rules?
if so, i'll take Shaq and anyone else. You can try to foul him all you want, but he'll just back you down, turn around, and dunk on you anyway, every single time.

I’m amazed at people’s reading skills. Duo must have played together on the same team currently or previously. Like in nba jam, you select Stockton Malone. You can’t pick isiah Thomas and Malone because they were never teammates. That option isn’t available.

Lebron/Wade would be a legit group that could go deep in a tourney.

Also for everyone picking Shaq

The Dream was a better defender than Shaq and was able to slow him down. Hakeem/Clyde would put it on Shaq/Kobe on 2 on 2
