I’m amazed at people’s reading skills. Duo must have played together on the same team currently or previously.

Sorry, I'm kinda high right now.

Given those parameters I should have caught?

Magic / Worthy - Height, Defense, Speed, can defend anyone.
Payton / Kemp - All time defenders with the ability to score with athleticism.
Penny / Shaq - Classic big/small duo with plus athletes
MJ/Scottie - Ultimate competitors, Ultimate players

You have to take Magic/Kareem.

3 guys couldn't stop the sky hook. Kareem's taller than everyone...and if Kareem misses Magic gets the rebound as the best rebounding guard of all-time.

Kareem is 7'2" and Magic is 6'9" - Shaq could routinely miss and did routinely miss 1 foot jump hooks. People have this revisionist history with Shaq like he had range or something. He had no turnaround jumpshot, no bank and would often miss at point blank range.

Also for everyone picking Shaq

I think Shaq is being overrated in 2 on 2 because of defense. If they faced a smaller perimeter team, he'd be such a defensive liability that I think it counters his offensive dominance. If he goes out to the perimeter to guard anyone, they probably blow past him. If he stays under the rim, he is giving up unchallenged threes all game.

50 year old Abdul-Rauf going off 3 on 3 What would Shaq do to guard a perimeter player when they get hot? Unless you think a prime shaq was quick enough to guard the 3?

2 on 2 is probably Harden and Durant. The combination of ball handling, shot making and finishing would be tough to stop, especially if you score as 1/2.

People underrate Drexler and he would have been a perfect 2 on 2 player. Clyde's classic move was putting his head down and barreling to the rim.

That move works a lot better in 2 on 2 than 5 on 5. Prime Hakeem was unguardable 1 on 1.

Prime Shaq vs Prime Hakeem is pretty much a wash 1v1. They wouldn't stop each other

But its not a wash on 2 v 2.

Hakeems ability to step out and his defensive ability is far better in a 2 v 2 game

Saying Kobe would abuse Drexler is just on another level of dumbassery though
