I just heard Klatt get asked this and he said OU. He said with their schedule he has them as a playoff team and possible dark horse NC pick.
They have the 9th best odds to win the NC as of right now and possibly the weakest P5 schedule.
What do you think? They have outscored their opponents 165-28 and Gabriel looks like a Heisman finalist.

He’s right Big 12 is down. OK St. and TCU aren’t as good. They do play at Kansas. That and Texas are the only games I see them having a chance to lose.

OU has to play a team with a pulse to really gauge them. UNC has played decent teams, and is enough to know they will likely drop games this year. Miami beat aTm, but look similar to UNC in that I don't see them lasting the year unscathed.

This year or going forward? I thought OU’s roster and depth was really impacted after Lincoln Riley’s departure. Venables is doing a good job of rebuilding it, but they aren’t in a position to compete at the highest level.
But neither are UNC or Miami. So, OU now and going forward, but they aren’t a playoff team.

Of those 3 teams? OU and it’s not even close
OU may have a newer coach and they did struggle last year, but at least they’ve proven the can actually compete in the last decade
OU has finished in the top 10 fourteen times since Miami last did (2003) and seventeen times since UNC last did (1997)

We all know an undefeated Big12 gets in the playoff.

Miami has the best OC/DC combo in the nation, but OU's schedule is FCS level weak this year and they will be able to fall arse first into 10-11 wins.
They play one top 25 recruiter on the entire year. Next year in the SEC, they play seven. It's a joke.
Texas is legit the only game they play this year they may lose.
Carolina is all Drake May. He is dragging Mack Brown to a good season. He is going to be a hell of an NFL QB.

OU is a mortal enemy and they seem to be hitting on all cylinders with Gabriel. No question blowouts.
Texas has sputtered against Rice and Wyoming until late, and beat an apparently rebuilding Bama team.
