All Rickey has is base-stealing and a longer career to rack up more old man bloop hits

297 homers and 81 career leadoff HR begs to differ. Plus then 1100 plus RBI’s

I said, all he has OVER Mike.

Not that base-stealing was all he had. There's a difference.

Mike had 548 HRs and 1595 RBIs.

Rickey has 1 Gold Glove.

Mike had 10 Gold Gloves.

You edited it after I quoted you sir. But I’ll still take Rickey over Schmidt to start a team. I want people on base then use stolen bases and pressure on the bases. Much like Whitey used with the Cards and Martin with the A’s.

Everyone in the thread is talking about football and baseball athletes being the greatest ever.

The NBA probably has the most elite athletes. Look how Jimmy Graham has dominated at TE in the NFL. Then realize the NBA is full of more talented athletes then him with the same skill set.

Jr. would be in the conversation with Bonds for best ever player in baseball right now.
how? Bonds was significantly better than Griffey when both were healthy and clean. So assuming Griffey juices what makes you think he would be better than juiced Bonds?

I'll forever lament the 94 labor dispute in the MLB.

Junior was crushing it before the strike. Something like 30 homers in 60 games. It was unreal.

What could have been.

no it isn't. The only thing Griffey had was he played CF.

Kid’s phenomenal but if you’re assessing a career where a player produces a lot and achieves accolades in both professional sports and refers to the 2nd sport as a “hobby” and incurs NO major injury, you can’t really get a better career than that
