So, you agree that UW would beat FSU?

I don't think anyone is not giving them credit for what they have done the past 2 weeks. Granted, UF sucks this year and won't be going to a bowl game. I would have thought FSU's running game would have been more effective or drawn enough coverage into the box due to having a backup QB that Rodemaker would have been able to take advantage of single coverage on the outside with those 2 big WRs. Instead, the offense was bad. And, you already referenced how bad the FSU-UL scoring was.

The issue is the other 4 teams in consideration are currently more well-rounded teams with better offenses and the only team with a significantly worse D is UW.

If FSU would have beaten Louisville by 35 last night, that would've shut down the BAMA argument.

Doesn’t matter. Washington would lose to Georgia and Ohio ST. The top 4 should have been Michigan, Texas, Bama, and Georgia.

So we exclude teams because we think they might lose? One team is always a dog in any given playoff matchup.

Giving them credit would be putting them in the CFP. It’s not easy to win football games, especially ones that matter to both sides.

So does Auburn.

the offense was bad.

They went down 12-0, then scored 2 touchdowns on long drives and finished the game 24-3. They did what they had to do.

I also mentioned their margin of victory being better than two team picked ahead of them.

Is the issue that they are more well rounded? Or is it that offense matters more?

In the first quarter, they had the ball 5 times and gained a total of 5 yards. That is not championship football.

Washington would be lucky to drop 14 points against that defense

Washington’s offense scored 9 points against a terrible 3 win Arizona State team, and they have the supposed Heisman runner up at qb.

In the game that they literally won a championship, they didn’t play championship football?
