League-leading 49 national tiles and top 10 overall athletics department right now says otherwise.

The Razorbacks’ strong finish in baseball spurred the University of Arkansas athletic department to a program-best seventh-place finish in the Learfield Directors Cup standings released on Thursday by the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.
Arkansas finished in the top 10 for the second time in school history, just eclipsing last year’s program record eighth-place showing. The Razorbacks were the highest-ranked team among departments which sponsor only 19 sports.
The Learfield Directors Cup assigns scoring for all collegiate sports for both men and women, with a maximum of 100 points for winning a national championship in a given sport.
The Razorbacks won eight SEC titles and posted nine top-10 finishes in NCAA events during the 2021-22 school term, which helped Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek be selected as the FBS Athletics Director of the Year by NACDA. Arkansas won 10 SEC titles during the 2020-21 academic year, with Coach Lance Harter’s women’s indoor track and field squad pulling down the NCAA championship.
Mizzou is the obvious choice to hand off to the Big 10.
I'd rather pick up NC State and Clemson anyway. They fit the league culturally better than anyone else out there.

If that is the only criteria, over half of the conference will be walking out the door with Arkansas. Overall, the athletics department at Arkansas is one of the best in the nation. Sports that generate revenue and sports that do not generate revenue are excelling.

Clemson and Florida state need to join. Having 2 instate SEC teams keeps the rivals. USC/Clemson, Alabama/AU, Tennessee/VU, Florida/FSU, Ole Miss/MSU, Texas/A&M. If your state fought for the confederacy, you’re allowed in. Virginia, Virginia Tech, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, NC State,
come on down. The day the SEC lets a yankee or west coast team, I’m done with college football. (Oklahoma is my only exception, they identify as the south now).

Isn't the exit fee from the ACC monumental? Like hundreds of millions?
I don't see any way Clemson or Fla State, etc could leave for the SEC even if they wanted to.

But it’s Vandy
Well it makes sense. They're basically a semi-IVY League school in a Conference where most of its members rank outside the Top 100.
US News and World Report...
Mississippi State #196
LSU #172
Arkansas #162
Alabama #148
Ole Miss #148
Kentucky #127
Missouri #122
South Carolina #117
Tennessee #103
Auburn #99
TAMU # 68
Georgia #48
Florida #28
Vanderbilt #14
Vandy is like that super smart child in the SEC that thinks sports isn't everything, maybe an education?

The 10 as of 1991 are staying.
Vanderbilt might look at Big 10 for a second, but I don’t think they leave.
Others may look around.
I could see Missouri looking at Big 10.
IF any team leaves, Mizzou could be the one.
Strangely, I could see Texas joining Big 10.
Ultimately, I don’t think any SEC teams leave.

Nobody. SEC will only add schools.
West
ArKansas
Colorado
Kansas
Oklahoma
Texas
aTm
North
Missou
Nebraska
Notre Dame, Illinois or Louisville
Purdue
Tennessee
Kentucky
East
alabama
Auburn
Clemson
Ole Miss
Miss State
Vandy
South
Florida
Florida State
Georgia
LSU
Miami

Each team will have 2 OOC game, 3 inter divisional games then 5 divisional games. Four divisional leaders will play in the SEC playoffs in Dallas and Atlanta. Championship will be in New Orleans.
Offices remain in Birmingham and alabama still gets benefit of calls from referees.

Nobody? This topic doesn’t even make sense. When was the last time a conference kicked a member out?
The Big East kicked Temple out in 2001 for underperforming.
Vandy needed to go decades ago. I guarantee the wheels are turning with Clemson and Miami as we speak. They got some serious decisions to make and soon.

Vandy just won the baseball national championship recently.

Missouri always felt like a big 10 team to me. I always kept forgetting they were in the big 12
Posted on 7/2/22 at 8:31 am to bamameister
The big east was on the verge of collapse though and now doesn’t even play football
The sec may add others but they aren’t kicking out Vanderbilt, a charter member.

Someone asked and I answered correctly.

These are all power moves. It's easy to see Texas and Oklahoma at the top. But there are bigger fish out there than Vandy. A lot bigger if the sole purpose is to create super leagues and position yourself to set the rules in college football. Which is the ultimate goal by the way.

You tell Vandy either the whistler goes or you go.
Posted on 7/2/22 at 9:43 am to LSUcrawfish
None
But could add North Carolina, Clemson, FSU and Miami or Ava Tech.
Virginia and Duke are destined for Big 10. Maybe North Carolina too.

Vandy is going nowhere. As a private school they keep sec from having to answer FOI requests
Posted on 7/2/22 at 10:15 am to MEd LSU
Most of these arguments are dumb. No one cares about anything except for supposed TV viewership for money. Schools definitely are at the risk of being on the chopping block. I wouldn't be surprised if in 20 years the SEC doesn't exist and there is just some league of the 20 most popular football schools in America, spanning coast to coast.

We can only hope tu goes to little 10

This is the correct answer and most people just aren't aware of it.
