has anyone done the math to see what happens if Miggy goes 0-4 and Trout goes 4-4?

Yes, Trout wins.

Well seeing as the last time someone won the triple crown was the year I was born (1967), ane seeing as how I've been a fan of the Tigers since they won the WS my senior year in high school (1984), yeah - i'm pulling for him to win it.

Trout is already 0-1 tonight. Cabrerra will play and will probably be pulled after 2 or at the most 3 at bats regardless if he gets a hit or not. He is a lock to win the triple crown and as a 39 year old life long baseball fan I am glad to be able to see it.

Trout can go 4-5 and Cabrerra can go 0-4 and Cabrerra still wins by a point. There is no way the starters are going to be in all game tonight as its meaningless, much less Cabrerra so I cant see him getting more than 3 at bats.

Um no and I had a feeling he'd start tonight. Just makes it more valid, but I think they pull him after 2 ABs.

Lets put this into prespective here. With Todays SPECIALTY pitchhers and middle relief and all that crap. Miggy will be ONLY the 10th player to win the triple crown. The last time it was done[YAZ] the starting pitchers went 7-8 innings almost every game. THIS is a HUGE DEAL as far as that goes. Its kinda like hitting .400 or JOE D's hitting streak. THOSE may never be done again because of the FRESH SPECIALTY pitchers in todays era. THINK ABOUT IT.

Nah, I would rather see him taking pulls of whiskey in the on-deck circle and roping doubles. A true legend.

I wish I could say i watched more of his AB's this season.
Unfortunately with my work schedule I don't get to watch a ton of baseball; and when I do I watch the Braves (World Series '12).
But just being able to follow the guys stats to see what he's doing has been awesome. My dad was 4 yrs old when Yaz won the triple crown in '67, so it's pretty fantastic that it's happening...
