I hate the Rockets TV announce team. But since Root Sports won't deal with Dish Network I can't watch without finding an illegal stream anyway.

I don't think you can call local sports announcers "biased" like it's a bad thing. They are supposed to be homers since they are calling the game for their team's sports network.
I know with the Houston Rockets announcers, they are paid by the team... not the sports network.
It's the hometown broadcast, so it's okay for them to be biased in favor of the hometown team. Who cares what some guy thousands of miles away thinks about how impartial the announcers are who are calling the game? They aren't gearing it towards that guy. The broadcast is geared towards fans of that team.
For some reason people think that hometown broadcasters are supposed to be impartial like national broadcasters at ESPN, TNT, CBS, ABC, FOX, etc. Those guys are supposed to be impartial because they are calling the game for a national audience. Not so with the local guys.

I don't think hometown broadcasters need to be completely impartial, but the level of bias that some have just makes it difficult to watch for anyone that's not a fan of that specific team.

Whites Sox have been consistently rated the worst team announcers in MLB because of him.
Which is incredible since his partner was Steve Stone.
Now Jason Benetti and Steve Stone were fun to listen to for home games last season. Probably because they actually like each other.

Why would people who aren't fans of that team think they are entitled to have it their way?
That would be like someone who is an Ohio State fan getting annoyed that the Georgia radio broadcast would have announcers that favor Georgia. Where do they get off trying to tell Georgia how to call their games for their own fans?

This was Sports Illustrated's recent list:
Mike Haynes. Colorado Avalanche. ...
Sean Elliott. San Antonio Spurs. ...
Dick Vitale. NCAA Basketball. ...
Dude has given his life to college basketball, and he absolutely deserves our respect. Except that he loves Duke so damn much that it makes him utterly unwatchable. So I’m slotting him here at seven, I don’t have the heart to lump him with legit crazy people like Hawk Harrelson, but we all know that Dick Vitale is the shadow that looms over all homer announcers.
Jack Edwards. Boston Bruins. ...
Gary Danielson. CBS college football. ...Gary Danielson calls the SEC for CBS, the greatest sports conference in the history of both national and international competition. College football does not exist outside of the Southeast for Gary.
A couple years ago he said that a one-loss Alabama team should perhaps get the BCS Championship nod over an undefeated Oregon team, or an undefeated Kansas State team, or ESPECIALLY an undefeated Notre Dame team. This is, of course, the only natural conclusion to reach considering that the SEC is the holiest venue in God’s kingdom to host sporting events of distinctly undefiled nature. Yes, Gary Danielson’s piousness is so gross it actually makes Notre Dame sympathetic.
Grant Napear. Sacramento Kings. ...
Hawk Harrelson. Chicago White Sox. ...
Tommy Heinsohn. Boston Celtics...For you League Passers out there, Heinsohn is the guy accusing every single one of your players of flopping while comparing Kelly Olynyk to Kevin McHale.
A delicate blend of diehard Boston patriotism, old-man entitlement, and a genuine deep-seated belief in his fundamental ideals (Celtics are good, everyone else evil) that nobody can and nobody will ever touch Thomas William Heinsohn at the altar of homerism. Thank you for giving the rest of America another reason to dislike Boston.

the worst in the NHL is Jack Edwards of Boston...insufferable...

The Hawk is on another level than Dickie V and Verne. Dickie V and Verne are fans of the high profile programs and the big stars. That's while people are convinced they're Pro-Duke or Pro-Bama. The Hawk is a homer for a mediocre team.

How did Danielson end up being wrong on that front? A one-loss Alabama team played an undefeated Notre Dame team for the national title and absolutely killed them. If anything, an undefeated Notre Dame team making it to the title game over better one-loss teams like Oregon is why a four-team playoff system should have been put in place a long time ago.

There have been a lot of teams that were better over the years that didn't get an invite to the BCS champ game because of resume/record.
Just because the next year you get an invite and are lucky enough to get that chance to win doesn't mean we throw out deserve and undefeateds in retrospect.
Look at this year. Are there any two loss teams in the playoffs?
Hell, 3 loss USC is better than UW having beat them in Seattle. Michigan would probably beat UW and Clemson. Are they in the playoffs?
I'm sure 2006 and 2008 USC would have liked a Bama Mulligan over undefeated teams. I'm sure OKie State would have liked a shot at LSU having a better SOS by the computers.
Gary proselytizes.
He would take a 3 loss Bama team some years but that's not our system.
A lot of teams could justify their placement by beating Notre Dame over the years. But you don't leave out an undefeated Oregon like Gary promoted...just like this year shows are system has always been and still is reward for least losses.

Yep. FP Santangelo is almost as bad. I can tolerate it because I'm a Nats fan, but I can only imagine opposing fans listening to him.
FP fricking sucks arse. I dunno if he or Rob Dibble is worse
