There wasn't anything about that team that was dominant.

Run D

Ingram, when he needed to be

But I think people overrate the 09 squad all of the time.

Worst MNC team? 2005 Texas. Here's why:

If there was replay in 2005, a critical fourth down play that put Texas in position for the winning score is overturned, as photo and video evidence clearly showed Vince Young's knee was on the ground BEFORE the pitch to Jammal Charles.

They were both triple OT losses. LSU gave up 27 to Kentucky and 28 to Arkansas in 4 quarters. Not that those facts excuse anything, I'm just setting the record straight. I'm ok with people calling 2007 LSU the weakest BCS champion.

Worst team, dude. Without Cam Newton that's an 8-4 team.
But...Auburn did have Cam Newton that year, right?

Yeah I know it was 1984. Still mad about it. From last 10 years it would be Ohio St.

I love how many people have said 2002 Ohio State in a thread about worst teams of the last 10 years...how's that education system working out down there?

Crappy review? Yep but they were still an exceptional team.

I always took that as recompense for the Big XII/Pac 10 makeup call from Oregon/OU inside kick debacle.

And Troy Smith is inarguable. The guy that invented the 13 step drop in the BCSCG has to get it.

The Coaches only voted LSU in 03 because they had to. USC was #1 in both polls.

Edit: Lost at home by double digits to Zook.

Florida also lost to Iowa in their bowl game 37-17.

Yet LSU didn't score a single offensive point against Florida and punted 8 times and won 3 games by 7 points or less.

Common opponents Auburn and Arizona scored a combined 20 points against LSU. Auburn and Arizona scored a combined 0, against USC.
