This has been on of my favorite stories in a while.

I'm sure these programs like IMG, Duncanville, etc never even thought to check if they were legitimate,..I mean who would have the audacity to make up a school. lol

Also, just the pure laziness of the Sycamore "founders" to not put anything online to appear that they had a school.

What were they getting out of this? What was the end game if they actually got a player recruited?

The founder was the O-line/D-line coach? So in your wildest dreams of starting this school, you only become a position coach?

The misspelling on the printed "roster"

This tweet is top notch in terms of subtle trolling

ESPN aired a game Sunday where one of the participants was a possibly fraudulent school that apparently only exists for sports, and the other was IMG Academy.

Bishop Sycamore told us they had a number of Division I prospects on their roster, and to be frank, a lot of that, we could not verify," Shroff said. What the hell kind of “speak your truth” bullshite is this? Are they admitting that they couldn’t verify anything they were telling them before the game, but they just went with it because that’s “what they told them?” I guess you can just identify as a D1 recruit now and ESPN won’t question it.

Prepgridiron.com has some fascinating threads on this. The guy that scheduled the game has been posting there for years a GardenStateBaller and is getting hammered, all while continuing to defend the “school.” He was allegedly also involved in the USA Academy scam out of Birmingham that briefly hired Rush Propst. His real name is Joe Maimone.

Anyway, it is fascinating to read some of those threads. Those guys sniffed this scam out years ago.

They brought in a bunch of delusional 19 and 20 year olds who don't realize they aren't going to make the NFL, and their coach stole money from everyone he could possible steal it from. That Roy Johnson guy needs to be thrown in prison.

That’s not how the joke works. He should have said “and the other was Bishop Sycamore.

Apparently the schools left on Bishop Sycamores schedule have dropped them. Most of them have picked up a replacement game against the South Harmon Institute of Technology.
