Good analogy. Every year in WBB it seems to be Notre Dame, UConn, South Carolina, and Baylor. (Kim Mulkey may get tired of the lack of challenges and decide to coach the men's team instead.)

Bama’s claim to fame this year is a somewhat close loss at home. They're fricking toast.

Committee has given preference to quality losses over quality wins before. See TCU vs Baylor.

can someone tell me what Bama's best win will be if they finish 11-1 this year?

If they were to finish 11-1, the best win would be at Auburn. That’s the only thing I could see being pitched at the end. Oregon goes 12-1, their 1 loss would be to Auburn. The argument would be Bama beating Oregon’s loss.

I think Oklahoma beats Baylor and gets bumped to 4 before it’s all over though.

They'll have to beat Baylor twice.

i only read the first page and there are multiple people that apparently think oregon jumps uga after not playing and uga winning 27-0

the only possible options are uga, bama, and i suppose minnesota. any other answer is beyond wrong

Baylor is undefeated but ranked 12th in the AP and 10th in the CP. If they lose this weekend to OU, they will drop to 15 maybe. You think OU gets in with that? I don’t see it happening, especially if Oregon finishes strong.

I think Alabama has a really good chance of getting in, which irritates me.

I think Alabama gets the 4th spot but the Committee puts Ohio State in 1st place. Ohio State vs Alabama and LSU vs Clemson. I’d rather Oregon get the 4th spot tho.

Oregon needs Auburn to finish strong, which means a win over Georgia or Alabama. And Oregon needs to beat Utah. Alabama doesn’t really have to do anything except beat Auburn.

I think the best chance to keep Bama out is for UGA to beat LSU in the SECCG. Then you can’t keep UGA or LSU out over Bama. LSU goes undefeated. Bama wins out. I could see the committee putting them in at 4.

Who knows though honestly? One year it’s best loss. Next year it’s best win. Then SOS. The committee will twist the narrative to put who they want in anyway. With Oregon’s AD running the committee this year, you have to think they’re the favorites for that narrative to swing their way.

Probably already been stated, but I don’t think they’ll put the gophers that high yet. They’ll place them in a position to where beating Ohio State in the CCG will easily put them in the top4 though.

i just cannot express how terrible bama's schedule is

they don't deserve it whatsoever

it's not about best loss when you play no one.

you lost at home.

1 loss conference champs will and should be above alabama.

this is not 2017 or whatever year.. alabama has no good win to fall back. none. not one. not a single one. their best win could potential be a 4 loss team.

its baked in, unless bama loses to auburn, then its a rematch of #1 LSU vs #4 bama in the playoffs

i dont care what formula or rankings data you use, they change or ignore the rules as needed to put the teams they want who bring in the most revenue in the playoffs.

bama was gifted in undeservedly twice and ohio st once already and we all know it

I say Georgia at #4 as well. I just want Oregon at 4 in the end. However, Georgia deserves it more.
