why ask a question you already know the answer to?

it would be an 8-4 Auburn and an 8-4? A&M

i hate this argument just as much as everyone else, but "quality losses" is a huge factor in rankings when you're dealing with human rankings and not a BCS type style

it just is what it is, let it play out.

does anyone here actually think a B12 champion OU that got their arse kicked by Kansas State is better than Bama? I doubt it.

the narrative is there - hurt Tua, close loss to probably the #1 team rest of season.

Bama’s claim to fame this year is a somewhat close loss at home

Well that claim has resulted in them getting to play for national titles before.

Best? A three or four loss Auburn.

Second best? Probably a four loss Aggie team.

They missed their chance to beat LSU and the rest of their schedule is shite.

Why would you have Penn St over Minnesota?

My guess for Tuesday:

OSU
LSU
CLEMSON
BAMA

We are going to have to beat them again if we want to win a national championship. I fricking hate it, but they aren't missing the playoffs with one loss.

We are most likely out. PAC 12 champ needs two losses and OU needs to lose another. Even that might not be enough.

What have you seen that indicates that the committee is willing to value a one loss Oklahoma or a one loss Pac12 champion over Bama? For better or worse, history is on your side, and this game went shitty enough for LSU to give them cover. Saban singing to come out tomorrow and say that Tua was 50% at best but will be 100% come bowl season.

Alabama got in 2017 because OSU lost two games including one that was a blowout to an unranked team. A one loss OU or pac12 team have much better arguments.

To be fair, it doesn’t matter what you, him, or anyone else besides the committee thinks.

To analyze it by saying Alabama isn’t the best team in their division much less the conference says a lot. Why must a team that plays in their conference title game be penalized? Alabama has been the beneficiary of this too many times. Gary Danielson was making their case for them until Saban can take over for him.
