LeBron, KD, Paul George, and Kevin Love

Huh? I think the Pelicans would be ecstatic if AD turns out to have a career like Dirk.
I still like to troll Dirk fans. And yeah it would be nice to have a career like Dirk.
I'm hoping for better though, personally.

Whoever used "being a good player on a team with mediocre talent" as an excuse to dismiss AD's per doesn't understand how the stat works. First of all AD's usage rate is actually the second lowest in the top 10. Second of all go look at the top 10, with the exception of Jordan Hill everyone up there is an all-star caliber player and Anthony Davis is number one.
Another thing people aren't really considering his age. All the other young guys, George, Curry, Westbrook, Hibbert, none of them we're doing it by their second year. Most players really explode in Year 3 or 4, so I think a lot of this best player in the league talk is based on the assumption that Davis still has a leap like that left in him. Add that to his current stature as a top 5 forward in the league and you get someone who could very well be the best player in the league in 5 years

Lebron, KD, Love, George, and maybe Westbrook

You mean Power Forward? Because LBJ, KD, Paul George, Melo, KLove, and Dirk are all forwards and he's not better than any of them. He's a top 5 guy today if you're building a team, but he's not one of the best 5 forwards today

I agreed, but explained that part of the reason for that, in addition to the fact that he is very talented, was being the best player on a mediocre team.

Lebron, KD, Harden, Westbrook, George, and probably Love. All the other guys can take over a game while handling the ball except Love. That's my only reservation, but he's so multi- talented

Solid season? Sure. I don't think that is what this thread was about.

Lebron and Durant are the two best forwards in the league. Followed probably by George. I think love and Davis are about equal followed by Dirk. Carmelo isn't really in that discussion anymore for me. Dirk and Carmelo are great scorers, but Davis already does everything else on a basketball court better than them.

I literally have no idea what you are talking about.

He's saying Drummond hasn't been anywhere near Davis' level so far and looks to be more of a rich man's Deandre Jordan or a poor mans Dwight Howard. Which isn't a bad thing that's borderline all-star talent. Just not all-nba best player in the league talent

I really don't see how you can say Davis is better than Dirk, and CERTAINLY don't agree that Davis and Love are on equal footing

you still think George isn't a top 5 player at his position, brah?
we'll see what he does this year.
He actually regressed last year coming off his sophmore year.
41% from the field is not elite for someone that is that big of a freak athletically. In fact its a huge mark on the player that he is.
He's gifted no doubt, but lets see if his efficiency improves this year.

Is this really what Davis is annointed as 92 games into his career?
And you're calling him "Pistontard" for saying his guy is having a "solid season"?
ETA: Sorry. Nvm. Not u that called him tard.

Obviously not yet. And I realize it's a small sample size but that's really the only argument you can make against him. His free throw shooting alone compared to Drummond is enough to put Davis in a completely different class of player. As for comparing Davis to dirk and love, however better than Davis you think they are at offense, I think Davis has just as much of an edge on defense. He's averaging over four blocks and two steals a game!! That's insane

. Call me crazy, but I would take him over KD as a SG/SF.
Lets see
Durant shoots 18x a game at 51%.
George shoots 18x a game at 41%
lol. Does not compute.
Paul George is closer to Rudy Gay than he is Kevin Durant
