And, along with his talent, a reason he fills up the stat sheet is because he is the best player on a mediocre team with so so talent.

I'm gonna need a little more than that.

Jeremy Lin has already had a couple 30+ point games this season.

He's dominated in several games this season. He doesn't do it with just scoring though. He blocks shots, he assists, he rebounds, he hustles, and he scores. He's had 8 blocks in each of the last 2 games. He's already had career highs in virtually every category this season. And again...he's 20.

Fair enough.

The arena was definitely more than 40% capacity.

What does that even mean? I have nothing against AD and think he is a good player.

I'm just not ready to say he is the second best option next to Lebron after a solid rookie year and 11 good games his second season.

unfortunately these threads are necessary as long as people think that Deron Williams is still a great player, let alone better than AD

Well they realize very quick they better bring their A game after he swats their shite to Canal street.

Well there is no denying that Davis is the best young talent in the game...but I also get the sense that opposing players aren't necessarily bringing their A game when they play the Pelicans. Think about it, one night you're playing Howard and Harden on national TV, the next you're playing in front of a 40% filled arena vs the Pelicans. It's only natural that you would be more "up" for one of those games than the next.

You're awesome.

Im not sure I would take anyone over AD outside of LBJ and KD.

AD being this good at his age is amazing. And its not the fact that he can score and rebound or anything. Its just his skill set is so rare in the NBA. He can beat you with the jumper and has range, he can beat you on the block, he can beat you in transition, and he can beat you on the defensive end. And should be a JR in college. Amazing.

Definitely a factor.

Pau got embarrassed by AD, then played us much tougher a week later.

Do you think other NBA teams/players get "up" to play AD yet?

That was just an example of him taking over offensively.

He's taken over several games on the defensive end. He just had his 2nd consecutive 8 block game.

Are you Pelican fans going to start an AnSanity Davis campaign?

Teams might not get up to go against the Pels, but Im sure no vet wants to have this 2nd year kid dominate them on both ends.

I think if these non-Pels fans had the chance to watch Davis play every night, rather than checking a Tuesday morning box score, most of their tunes would change

His box scores are impressive, but the way he looks on the floor is fricking amazing... Pure stroke, handles, running the floor, stopping anything within 8' of the basket... his shot blocking range might be the best Ive ever seen

Yes Mr. Pappagiorgio I agree with all of that. Im trying to think how to compare other players to him. Hes like 5 guys all warped into 1 player.

That can be said about a bunch of young players (i.e. Paul George, Steph Curry, Andre Drummond, Damian Lillard...)

I don't think people are saying that he's the second best player in the NBA, it's his play this season (top 10 player so far), with the addition of him only being 20 with a ton of potential. Hell, even Steve Kerr said that Davis could be the best player in the NBA in 5 years.

ETA: Curry, yes. George, yes. Drummond, maybe. Lillard, no.
