The majority of people in Alabama live in the northern half, dumb arse. That would mean the Falcons would have the most fans from Alabama, the Saints would be 2nd, and the Titans being the newest team, would be 3rd pulling from the Huntsville / Muscle Shoals area. Most people are not diehard fans towards any of them and are just casual fans.

Not sure but I have a friend from South Carolina who is a cowboys fan.
South Carolina is full of Cowboys, Steelers, and Redskins/Commander fans. We had some Dolphins, Giants, and Eagle fans sprinkled in. That goes back to before the Panthers existed. Even though the Falcons have been around since 1966, I never seen that many Falcon fans. If there is, majority of them are probably located around the SC-Georgia border.

I am in the middle but I would say the Falcons due to having to watch them every Sunday before you had choices.
I grew up having to watch the Saints play every damn Sunday from the Mobile station. This was when the Saints were the 'Aints in the late 70's and 80's. I fricking hated being force fed into watching someone get their teeth kicked in every damn week and as such I never really cared for the Saints.

Birmingham area is a mixed bag. No big time support for any NFL team. I guess because of the old days steel connection, I’ve seen more Steelers fans around here than any other team.

Everyone in Birmingham roots for Atlanta teams
They all love Atlanta which is weird

This is how I ended up a Raiders fan. The NFC central (old 5 team Division with Tampa) was always on the noon game and those teams were turds in the late eighties / early 90s, and their brands didn’t appeal to me. I loved Barry Sanders, but he was the only thing worth watching to me in that era.
The raiders were always on in the late game and I got hooked on Bo Jackson, Marcus Allen, Tim Brown. Plus, I watched NFL films after school all the time and the raiders had mountains of good shite on there. And Al Davis patrolling sidelines with the glasses on a gold chain and his warmup suit. My kind of fly.

I know a few Falcons fans, but I hear more from Titans fans. Mainly because of Derrick Henry getting drafted there and it being somewhat close to most parts of Northern Alabama.

I don’t see that. Maybe there were some more Falcons fans when Julio was there. Hawks? Never seen a Hawks fan.
Braves? Yes, but they are the South’s baseball team.

I’ve seen a lot of saints flags in the Hoover/vestavia area during the Payton/Brees years.

I'm from Huntsville. Majority of Northern Alabama is Titans country. Middle to the East is Falcons. South of Birmingham is more Saints. And if you have darker complexion you pull for the Cowboys. Still can't figure that one out.

When I was in school there in the late 90's there were a ton of Cowboys fans, some Falcons fans and very few Saints fans and there were a few Steelers fans as well. The Saints at that point were still historically bad, and the Falcons only moderately better, so I thought the breakdown kind of made sense.
With the Titans moving and the profile of teams shifting, I'm sure it's much different now.

ESPN conducted a survey some years back about the percentage of the total population of each state that self-identified as fans of a particular sport.
Of all 50 states, Alabama had the highest percentage of total population that claimed to be college football fans - no surprise there.
Of all 50 states, Alabama had the lowest percentage of total population that claimed to be NFL fans. So to answer your question, I really don't give a shite about either one.

Like all true southerners we couldn't careless about either and cheer for our state's football teams which are in the SEC!

In San Antonio they’re all saints fans

Neither. We dislike them both.

Neither. Gumps didn't acknowledge the NFL existed until recently.
