what are you basing this worth on?

How much better are the Cowboys be next year just because of this contract??????

I think they would be considerably worse with the other available QBs including Dalton. Remember NE right now has Jarrett Stidham and Brian Hoyer as their QBs and they didn't sign Dalton. Back to the topic of this thread you have Mahomes, Wilson, Brees Jackson, then in no particular order Watson, Wentz, Brady, Rodgers, who is after that? Ryan, Goff, Mayfield? then the 2nd year guys and rookies but none of those guys are available so for Dallas its keep Dak or roll the dice on some guys that washed out else where or draft in 2021.

I’m leaving Rodgers out

Makes sense given he is currently the second best QB in the North

Did I miss where Wilson became a unanimous top 5 or even top 3 QB? I feel like he’s good, obviously, but he’s always been in that 2nd tier.

1. Mahomes
2. Jackson
3. Rodgers
4. Brees

I think those 4 are pretty solid. Order is debatable.

5 could be Wilson, Brady, Ryan, Stafford, Watson, or even Dak.

Wussell and his Recovery Water has always rubbed me the wrong way, but the Hags would be shite without him. Total abject shite. And he’s put up numbers behind a truly wretched oline for most of his career.

It’s worth considering how good he’d be with better protection. Dude is a pest.

Stafford should’ve been Miami’s QB.. good or bad he’d be a superstar off the field down there.

He’s overranked now. He’s a top 5 guy by default. A lot of the guys who were suppose to be franchise building QBs that were taken in the early to mid 2010s just haven’t separated themselves - Winston, Carr, Goff, Wentz - have had their careers derailed/ended by injury - Cam, Luck, Bridgewater- or are just too young right now - Baker, Allen, Minshew, Lock, and Jones.

It’s basically a timing thing for him. Kind of like how LeSean McCoy was the leading rusher of the 2010s, despite no one really considering him an elite back.

Different eras, but I’ll just leave this here. Rushing stats also can’t be discounted.

Going forward and not living in the past most GMs would want Mahomes and Wilson would be 2nd.

I'm interested to see what Brady still has this year now that he has some weapons.

If I had to guess, he's closer to 10 than he is to 5.

I think it's more of Schottenheimer being the worst coordinator in the league than lack of talent

Yeah Brees and Brady have nothing fallen out of the top 5 imo. Will be interesting to see if Dak/Watson step up. Right now it’s Mahomes, Jackson, Rodgers, and Wilson and then a whole lot of uncertainty. I put Matt Ryan in my top 5 because he’s consistent (enough) and Father Time hasn’t taken a toll on him, but with Brady, Brees, Rivers, and Big Ben in their last season or two, there’s a big vacuum to fill at QB in the NFL.

It was already going to be interesting to see how the guys from the last 3 drafts handle this season and if anyone separates themself, but this whole Wuhan Flu frickery adds get another level to it.
