Frazier and Holieway were the best I remember seeing, but James Street of Texas has to be on this list. Texas was undefeated and won the 1969 National Title. Street was 20-0 as a starter running the bone and was really the first guy to ever run it.

Josh Nesbitt is probably underrated.
Paul Johnson’s scheme was more demanding of the QB than most “option offenses” that based from under center. Running the triple with a slotback in motion is more difficult than the same out of wishbone - as well as belly and speed options in which there is no mesh read. He also had a big body that was good for running midline into the interior of the D instead of just the perimeter. He’s could also pass effectively.
He’s one of the relatively few QB’s to rush and pass for 1,000 yards in a season in an offense that was almost exclusively under center.
