I will borrow from those guys from time to time bc sometimes they speak In more layman terms than me so their message comes across better to the more casual fan.

Maybe you should get there/their/they’re right before trying to convince us that you’re too intelligent for us to understand your posts.

After seeing the moves in the off-season, I really thought this defense would be trending in the right direction come the regular season. I was more surprised by their performance in the first two games than I was by their performance in the following 8.

I think a good running game and good defense go hand in hand. You run the ball well, keeps your D off the field and gives them more of a rest.
Pass the ball all the time you may have quick scores or quick 3 and outs, INT's etc. Defense is on the field more, tired, giving opponent more opportunities to score.
So it's no coincidence that the Saints D improved once they found this running game.

They lost bubba convincinly to one of the squads I had above them in power ranking. You gonna say they not the fourth best team in the nfc ??!!!??!!

I hate to admit it Boom but as long as the Saints have key players like Lattimore banged up, they will trend downward.

not good enough to overcome injuries. They didn't play all that bad today which is sort of encouraging but the confidence wasn't there.

too many "oh shite I'm beat" moments by the DBs that resulted in holding/PI penalties instead of trying to play the ball.

The PJ Williams interception was a gift and just a poor play by Watkins.

pretty big loss today but shite happens.

We were missing arguably our best defense player (and current favorite for DROY) in Lattimore along with our no.2 CB in Crawley, and we just lost our 2nd best front 7 player in Okafor.
