It seems like everyone is in agreement that the NBA is looking unimaginably awful with how its handled this China situation. What can we do about this? I'm not a big boycotter, nor do I know how honest I can keep up with my boycott if I decided to do so.

What other options do we have to legitimately voice our displeasure to the league with how its bent over backwards when it comes to supporting a tyrannical government hell bent on shitting on hong Kong's pleas for a greater democratic way of life?

I mean, we actually have a legitimate boycottable issue here that we can use against the NBA, but Americans as a group aren't going to give a shite about this. And that is really depressing.

Good question

What would the nba be doing if Hong Kong was a nation that was black Majority?

That would put them in quite a pickle

If you want them to shut up and dribble.

We as fans should shut up and watch.

Leave politics out.

This is your final straw with the NBA?

This is what finally makes you realize the NBA is a shite tier product?

Most of us realized years ago the NBA was a joke. It only caters to primadonna selfish entitled players and a fanbase who couldn't care less about the team aspect of the sport but only cares about individual players and their offensive statistics. To hell with defense!

I've said all along they just need to turn it into a one on one league because its clear thats what the fanbase wants.

I've been looking for a reason to not have to watch another 20-62 season for like 5 years now. Maybe this is my way out.

But what does the Venn diagram look like of people who know what's going on in Hong Kong and NBA fans? I imagine the overlap is very small.

What of the product quality is no longer enjoyable enough to disregard the sideshow?

Don't buy any merchandise and only stream games.

Really though this will be impossible because in order to successfully boycott you'd need their other owners, their corporate sponsors, to step in. Problem there is their corporate sponsors are just as in on China as they are.

The only way I see anything happening to the NBA is if the players get involved. 99.9% chance they won't. Their sponsorship deals with Nike, Adidas, etc will have them deciding to shut up and dribble.

Guaranteed nike has already told bron, kyrie, etc to either say nothing or say things that are pro-china.

Yea the only way something real happens is if players get involved and we are already see them toe the NBA line. I guess we can try to start a movement towards the removal of silver but I doubt any of that happens without owner input as well
