How fricking stupid? You win the toss and your chances to win the game go up exponentially. Yeah sure, your defense has a chance to make a stop, but the fact that the loser of the toss might not ever get a chance is a joke.

Would you have made this same thread if the Saints had won the toss and scored a TD on that first drive?

I've never liked the NFL overtime rules but the saints brought this one on themselves

Thread is about OT rules, not playing qualify defense or not.

I like college system but have them start on the 50. It’s unfair when one team gets the ball, and as rules continue to tilt in favor of the offense then it will just increase the advantage.

How do you feel about the 09 NFCCG between the Saints and Vikings?

Classic.
My team lost, change the rules so maybe we won’t!

The rule is fine. Make a stop and all you need is a FG to win.

I love the idea of a black bumper sticker with the Saints fleur-de-lis in gold on each side

When you can't win, demand the rules change

The electoral college would make a lot more sense without the 17th amendment.

Let’s not forget the NFL changed the OT rules not once but twice because of Saints wins. It’s only fair that they change the rules and FINALLY get it right on try 3 after this game.

Been saying for years that the NFL overtime rule is the worst in sports. Especially with the pass interference penalty putting the ball at the spot of the foul. Win the coin toss, throw a couple bombs, couple penalties, ball game.
