It was awesome.

LSU stormed the field after beating a bama team that finished 3-8 in 2000

As an LSU fan you should understand the extenuating circumstances that went into why that happened.

At that point Alabama had like an almost 30-year undefeated streak in Baton Rouge. There were grown men who had never witnessed LSU win a game against Alabama in tiger stadium. The field rush was a celebration of that streak finally ending.

Try an justify it if you want but it’s way worse objectively than any of the ole miss field stormings

It also proves your comment about “in the past we had standards” wrong

To be clear though I am pro field storming and I think the field storming police are dumb. I’m just pointing out the fallacy of field storming police arguments.

Older observers will remember that Alabama did on at least one occasion rush the field, or at least tried to. And it didn’t go so well.

Alabama beat Auburn 16-7 at Birmingham’s Legion Field on Dec. 1, 1990, ending four years of frustration in the Iron Bowl.

Getting to be on the field after a game is pretty cool, which I often get to do because I have some actual access.

Oooh fancy.

fricking with you, I do too, try to stay out of the way, but it's still cool.

The SEC now has escalating fines for storming the field because the SEC previous commish was money oriented.
He didn't fine Georgia when they finally beat Tennessee (ancient history) and not only stormed the field but also tore up 'the hedges" so thoroughly that the plants had to be replanted and they grew slowly.

I think they should storm the field every game, win or lose. Let the kids have fun.

All the old farts will never understand that storming the field doesn't mean the same thing as it did back in the day when it was only for major upsets.

Kids these days just like to run on the field and take pictures for social media after a fun win I don't know why people still get upset over that

When the majority of people running on the field started making it about their social media.
