Their coach said at the beginning of the year that they had 13 RB’s on scholarship...most schools have half that.

It was known the next coach after PJ would have a major rebuild on their hands

Washington has been solid under Peterson and was championship caliber in the past.

Obviously Tech had some big exceptions like Demarius Thomas but those are the exception rather than the rule.
Paul Johnson didn’t recruit him, Chan gailey did.

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say their academic requirements are a lot higher than almost anyone in FBS

You'd be wrong. I've sent a few C average student there to play football

I’m talking about the players that are there recruited by Paul not the new guy.

Not really they sucked with Paul too they were 7-5 or 8-4 on the reg. Should be better than that every so often.
Why?
They play in a P5 conference and they're in a talent rich state, but they haven't been relevant in basically 30 years and the state is raided by the entire ACC and SEC.

Ok compare that to SEC players outside Vandy and Mizzou who are often barely literate

Still have a more recent national championship than UGA.

Major city cfb teams are never very good. I don't know why, that's just the way it is. USC might be the only exception.
USC, Washington, Miami?
Austin and Columbus aren’t exactly one-horse towns, either.

In his defense, Austin wasn’t a huge metro area during the Royal era, and even after during some of the successful teams under Akers.
