If you have ever been to Wrigley, it’s your only vote.

This.

Fenway>>Wrigley.

Fenway has hosted 11 World Series. Wrigley didn’t see its first World Series game until 2016. Iconic stadiums have iconic moments in big games. Rose Bowl 2005 NC Vince young. Fenway Fisk homer over the green monster.

Correct. There's this huge revisionist history of the lovable Cubs and how Wrigley was always packed. The truth is, before Harry Caray joined the Cubs broadcast, the White Sox regularly outdrew the Cubs*.

*Also, the whole "Caray as Mr. Cub. He was the St. Louis Cardinal announcer for decades. And then joined the ChiSox.

Ppl can shite on the Dome all they want but it's in the conversation. It'll be the 5th oldest stadium in the NFL this season and it's still in the Super Bowl rotation. Super Bowls, Sugar Bowls, Final 4s, Boxing, etc. Very few venues have hosted as many memorable events. It's not classic like Fenway or Lambeau but it's unique and a class all its own. Hate on haters

Not hating on it
Just saying it’s not the #1 most recognizable stadium
Especially when you have other unique stadiums (one example Atlanta’s that gets ripped on all the time for how it looks)
As well as other baseball stadiums, college stadiums, basketball arenas (MSG) etc that anyone outside of this website would put above the dome

I wasn’t saying those are more iconic
The term he used was recognizable
Just using an example you could confuse the Superdome with any other generic looking Dome

It absolutely is up there. The thing holding it back is once you are inside its fairly soulless. in a non saints game they could be taking place at say the astrodome etc. Baseball stadiums have the advantage that there is no uniformity to the playing field so they can take curves or bends unexpectedly to fit with the city and then it provides a moment that can only occur in that specific place ie pesky’s pole/green monster, Willie mays at polo grounds etc. You cant picture those moments without thinking about the stadium.

Rose bowl views and surroundings provide some of that.

Literally every arena that puts its name on the outside is recognizable from the outside.

Sport by sport:

MLB: Fenway and Wrigley.

NFL: Lambeau or Jerryworld, for completely different reasons.

CFB: Rose Bowl or Coliseum. The Coliseum is more about its larger history.

CBB: Phog Allen and Cameron Indoor, as much as I dislike both programs.

Just in baseball, everyone knows what Wrigley, Fenway and Yankee (yes even the new one with its gates looking like the stadium from the 20s ) looks like from the outside even with taking down those names before they’d think of the super dome

Nah I get where you coming from. I just think most sports fan immediately recognize the Superdome if they’ve every watched a Super Bowl or any other event. Maybe I just watch too much football but I think I can recognize most with all the blimp shots you get.

Agree. I hope some of the renovations between now and the next SB will add something to the inside. Supposedly going to add some natural light.

Fenway is pretty regional to the Northeast

As Dodger stadium is to the west coast

Biggest reach nationally:

1. Wrigley Field
2. Madison Square Garden
3. Lambeau Field
4. Fenway Park
5. Churchill Downs

Next 5:

6. Yankee Stadium
7. Coliseum
8. Dodger Stadium
9. Superdome
10. Cameron Indoor
