The bleachers are even worse. The dearly departed Comiskey Park was the better venue.

If you drew a vector image of stadiums how many could you identify.

probably 1. the Superdome. Its been the site of a shite ton of various sporting moments throughout history.

Its definitely a top 5 iconic stadium. Not best, or most classic or whatever. But by definition, iconic.

There is absolutely NOTHING bland about the setting and setup of the Rose Bowl

The stadium itself is fairly bland and the portals can be a bitch to get in and out if.

A stadium is concrete and seats and a host of events. The stadium doesn’t make it great. The experience makes it great.

I disagree in part. There are some venues you’d like to visit even if there isn’t an event. Just to see it and walk around in it.

Old Yankee Stadium was but you lose that when you tear it down. I’d say Wrigley Fenway or Lambeau

Historically - Yankee Stadium (1976 - 2008)
Contemporary - Jerry World as much as I hate to say it.
Historical but still in use - Fenway
I'll reluctantly agree with all of this, though it feels weird to exclude the Rose Bowl from that.

And the current Yankee Stadium is as bland as it gets, bottom third stadium in MLB in my opinion.

This post reeks of envy and somebody who has never been there. The Rose Bowl is without a doubt one of the most iconic stadium in all of sports. There is absolutely NOTHING bland about the setting and setup of the Rose Bowl. Its a truly beautiful experience.

Ive been to an Auburn game their and a UCLA game. I didnt think the stadium was impressive at all. Sure you have SoCal scenery, but their are plenty of stadiums with impressive scenery. Really the only thing I thought was great was the golf course for tailgating

it's funny seeing all the Saints fan say the Superdome over something like Lambeau field

No one outside of LA thinks the damn Superdome is iconic. Hell 5 years ago just watching a game on tv there was awful because of the horrible field turf. Hell Lambeau has a damn Hall of Fame underneath it. What exactly is iconic about the Superdome other than being an old dump?
