Who gives a shite, I played in the same district in high school as Curtis and we got our arse whipped in every sport. Not once did I say it was unfair. I went out and played as hard as I could . All the people who voted for this split are a joke and an embarrassment to competitive sports.
competed at Patterson and we got fricked year in and year out by private schools. I hate this shite more than I thought I would going into it and I hated it a lot then. Its cowering down from bigger competition plain and simple.

don't think anybody ever says that... John Curtis has never won 5A and everybody would agree they're one of the best programs of all time... Same with Haynesville who has never won above 2A

. I wasn't debating whether it is right or wrong(just your damn opinion) I was pointing out how all this mess began with 5-A & 4-A schools complaining about playing 1 & -A enrollment schools.

If a single Lady at one school is this damn powerful & makes losers like you feel so threatened & emasculated I want to meet & tame this dominatrix. Maybe have some strong kids with her some day.

I love strong women . Who is she?

I'm not sure if she is single or not. I also do not see the relevance of her marital status...

I am simply following suit. Hyperbole, deflection, and outright twisting of the events by those trying to minimize the principal who brought forth the split and the reason she did. So, I can play too...

Now she brought forth the split? I don't even know the lady but I'm starting to think she has quite a lot of pull to single handedly change the landscape of high school football in the state of Louisiana. I'm impressed of anything.

I posted the entire list of votes on the previous page... Just that Winnfield principal made the most public comments on it, had the motive for proposing it, etc.

the NOLA media has ran with that too

the irony in all this is that the split has benefitted select schools more IMO... St. Fred's, Hannan, Rummel, and Byrd wouldn't have made the Dome without the split

She's married, and near retirement age, FWIW..

That principal has no principles. I try to ever wish something bad on a HS kid, I have to admit having a big smile when I saw the score. You know, before all the gerrymandering she precipitated, her team actually made it all the way to the Dome under the old arrangements. It's like a politician redrawing a congressional district to ensure an election, then the other candidate wins.

5-A schools whined & complained about 1A-2A enrollment schools spanking them & forced them to drop down.

Now all the blame goes to small division schools ? Complete bs.

4a schools were whining a great deal too.....

Still at a loss as to why schools that don't play football were voting on what happens in the football playoffs.

It's also funny that every 3A public school voted for the split after they already knew Curtis would move up to 3A.

I watched Winnfield lose to ECA in the State semi finals by one run

What year was that because Winnfield played ECA in the Qtrs and lost like 10-5, made alot of errors which was uncharacteristic for them. Anyone who was a winnfield fan and watched that game knew errors killed them. They did lose to St. Charles in the semi's a couple years ago on a couple blown calls, maybe that's the game you are thinking of?

Non-split folks just arent very smart

Why have any classes at all? Whats the purpose of giving out more than 1 state title?

Any split is about leveling the playing field. Private schools recruit. They start playing together in 5th grade, with the same system and coaches. If they have a weak spot, they start looking for replacements to fit their scheme years in advance

Public schools change their coaches or their schemes depending on talent, or just lose games if they dont have it. They also lose stud talent to the privates further eroding their scheme

Blah blah blah. Only one major catholic school even has a 5th grade, and most start in 8th. There is plenty of recruiting in public schools. Hell, it is almost always public schools getting caught recruiting, not private!

And don't be naive. Plenty of public schools have their feeder schools teach their football system to the kids at a young age too. Especially in the more rural areas where there aren't many choices where to go for high school.
