I think 1991 was the year of the worst dismantling of a team in the playoff ever. Redskins vs Lions . I think the score was 52-0 or something like that...and it could have been worse because the Redskins took the foot off the gas by the middle of the 3rd quarter.

The biggest arse kicking I've ever seen in the NFL playoffs was the Jaguars sending Dan Marino into retirement. That is the one game I've ever seen where I truly felt like a team could have put 100 points on the board if they wanted to. The final was 62-7 but Mark Brunell got pulled with something like 10 minutes left in the second quarter because they already had a 38-0 lead.

The Redskins outscored them 485-341 for the season. That is not a negligible difference.

correct, but that's why we're adding a decent QB to the team.
to improve scoring.

The Steelers probably win in '95 with a solid QB. Neil O'Donnel's 2 awful picks cost them a title they were very close to winning. They likely win the AFC in '94 as well with a good QB; don't know if they had the firepower to beat the 49ers that year, but they'd do a lot better than the Chargers did getting blown out.

Had Kordell Stewart not been the QB shortly after, they probably make at least one more Superbowl in the 90's early 2000's as well.

Montana was certainly above average his two seasons, but his body only allowed him to hold up those two years, plus going through Buffalo 90-94 in the AFC was tough enough, then you had to face the NFC Champ. Dallas was stacked 92-95, and so was San Francisco 93-95.

No one was going into RFK and beating the Redskins in 1991. That team was a steamroller.

The offense that season was one of the best in NFL history. Mark Rypien played out of his mind that season, just one year after fans were wondering if he should be replaced as the starter.

Would have been an interesting matchup of them vs the Saints defense. On the defensive side, Saints were #1 in points allowed, and Skins were #2.

It wasn't that year. That NFCCG was 17-10 at the half. Maybe, you're thinking of the 95 WCG between the Eagles and Lions that saw the Eagles get up 51-7 in the 3rd. The score ended 58-37.

Indeed on the 1993 LA Raiders. They were a favorite of mine and a lot of fun to watch.
