I've had bad ankles and knees ever since middle school. Hours after high school practices and games I would be limping around my house like an old man (I still do after simple 2 mile runs). Like a lot of people, playing D3 football was an option. It just wasn't worth the expense of my body.

Plus I grew up in a tiny school district where everyone knew all your business. Ohio State is like it's own town. I wanted that college experience over going to a smaller school where everyone would continue to know each other's business.

Didn't play(kick) until sophomore year of HS. Startrd as kicker and punter Junior year and turned a solid senior year in to a scholarship to Nicholls State. Paid my way for 5 years.

I regret not playing at a small college relatively close to my home town.

I do still play once year in an old timers game for charity, though.

Started as a freshman at TE and 3B. Only freshman to start two sports. All area as a sophomore in football. Was receiving some limited D1 recruiting attention. Baseball was my sport, though. High school coach played AA for the white sox. Going into sophomore year of baseball he told me I could go much further than him. Two weeks later, had my sternum sliced open and a cancer tumor removed. Chemo followed. Athletics ship sailed with the sickness. Luckily I had a 4.0.

Junior year my high school coach spit chewing tobacco in my face while jerking on my facemask for missing a block during practice. My dad tried to force me to stay on but there was zero chance of that

Didn't really ever like football but played to make dad happy. Finally after sophomore year I was ready to call it quits but dad didn't like the timing as I had worked out all summer and tried quitting right before two a days. So I played one more year before focusing on other sports.

I should have played the final year. I wasnt good but on a great team so playing time was hard to come by. It was a mistake though as I really missed hanging with my friends and being a part of the team.

I played in high school and was good. I also had 2 concussions, and heart problems. No scholarship offers, only preferred walk-on type of shite, no thanks.

If I could go back I would've devoted a lot of time to basketball and soccer. All I played in high school was football and I regret that so much.

I'm 6 foot and only weighed 135 when I graduated HS

Football was never the game for me and I found that out fast

shite I was always banged up playing soccer bc I was so aggressive. That same mind set would have gotten myself snapped playing football.

My freshman year was my last year. I played first team scout offense at TE. Had to stop the best player on our team that was the DE who later played in the NFL for a few years off and on. Mosty practice squad guy. Well he broke my ribs by running me over and I said frick it after that year. I prefered the other 2 major sports anyways. (As far as playing. Football is the best to watch)

I hope the majority of answers are the obvious for most of us.

High School ended and wasn't good enough for a good college.

When the pee'ing in a cup thing started

There was no reason to embarrass myself.

Like my buddy who applied for work at Delta Airlines, they told him they detected five illegal substances in his urine.
