Yea but it was a national title game against Alabama. Maybe 2019 never happens if we win that game, but the 2011 season was 2019. That season was incredibly fun.
And beating freaking Alabama for a title trumps beating any other team for a title.
Exactly. The resume we had for that season. We beat the winners of the Rose Bowl, the Orange Bowl, the Cotton Bowl and the BCS Championship game. That team would have been legendary.
2019 was great, but it feels like that year was such a blown opportunity. Maybe we don't lose eight in a row to Bama if we win that game (we probably would have beaten them in 2012). This past season has taken away some of that sting, but still....

Pens Caps Game 7 2009. Caps win the cup that year if they get past the Pens. They were the better team that series.

The one result I would change is the 1972 USA Olympic basketball team because those guys were fricked over.
Nothing worse than blatant cheating.
Those guys worked hard for that medal and the US was 63-0 in international play heading into that final.
It's the most ridiculous rigged outcome to a game in history. A Russian official literally came down from the stands and told the scorekeeper to put two seconds back on the clock...and that was just the second inbounds play, they got another one...three inbound plays.
Always felt bad for those guys, they were viewed as the first USA team to lose a basketball match and it was because they got screwed...I'm glad they refused their silver medals.

Auburn-fsu title game 2013 season and last year's final 4 game against Virginia would be pretty even here.
The 1988 earthquake game against Lsu wouldn't be far behind since we would have played Notre Dame for the title had we not lost that game.
Having Oklahoma lose at Okie state in 2004 instead of barely pulling it out would be another.

2017 World Series Game 5

USA vs. Germany World Cup 2002.
Torsten Frings handles the ball in the goal mouth, a ball that crossed the line. Referee Hugh Dallas calls no penalty or anything.
Final 1-0 Germany. It was a quarterfinal match and a different result would have been massive. Or even drawing the game at that point would have forced another goal, or extra time, or even penalties. Who knows.

1994 NFC Championship between Cowboys-49ers. If the Cowboys win that game, they would've won 4 straight Super Bowls.

SMS vs Cal St Northridge Football 98. We lost and cost the staff to get fired in 2 weeks. If we win that with the class we were building I probably never leave to go to TU in 02 because of new staff that came in.

I’m not talking ill of them. That Earthquake decimated that school. It was shame they had to shut down football. They have a great name The Matadors. The N with sword with cape was great logo.

That game wasn’t as bad as the Green Bay game with the Dez fake drop. Or the Washington NFCCG in 83 because it was the Redskins
Actually the Rodgers frozen rope to Cook in the Death Star May had been the killer game.

I don’t think the earthquake was the reason they shut down football. I just don’t think they could afford to keep fielding a team. Look at their conference (big west)- none of those teams play football. It’s an expensive sport.
I attended Csun a few years after the quake. To say the school was decimated is a gross overstatement.
