Which is why mine is 2006 LSU vs Auburn. A 1 Loss LSU team that year gets into the SEC Championship and likely gets revenge vs Florida. That LSU team steamrolls Ohio State or USC in the championship game. I still think that was Les’ best team.

1969 Ole Miss LSU game. Ole miss won 26-23. That LSU team was special and I really believe we would have beaten Texas in the Cotton bowl.

As a VT fan...
Obviously 99 MNC game...was winning 29-28 at the end of the 3rd and Vick lost all of his energy and the dream was over..
2019 - Duke VT in the Sweet 16...we would not have won the Championship but would have been big for the school

Plenty of good options for Auburn football but I will go against the grain and pick the 2019 Final Four game against Virginia. We had that win and it was snatched out of our hands. And that was such an amazing run to watch - hammering backetball royalty - Kansas, UNC and Kentucky. We would have won the final too.
Auburn football will rise and fall with the tides. As a major program, we've had our moments and squandered some while winning others. But Auburn basketball is the pits. Auburn BB winning a NC would be like Vandy winning in football.
