St. Pauls vs. Covington is a hell of a rivalry
Gotta be mentioned with the most heated. I mean, one of the players stabbed another in a game, and another year they burned the damn school down.

Barbe/Sulphur in the past. Barbe haa dominated the series as of late.
Whole not a truly competitive game of football, Barbe/St. Louis may be the best in the Lake Area in terms of how the student bodies look at the game. Many of the kids at both schools grew up together and played ball together, so it's about serious bragging rights in any sport.
The old joke goes "What is the difference between Barbe students and St. Louis students"?
The Barbe students have all of their parents' money that wasn't spent on tuition.

I considered Barbe/Lagrange or Barbe/Carencro bigger rivalries in the past, though during the Faulk years, it was kind of rough

Some from Shreveport/Bossier:
Airline-Parkway
Bossier-Airline
Haughton-Parkway
Haughton-Benton
"Soul Bowl" I wanna say it's BTW-Green Oaks
Captain Shreve-Byrd (not much of a rivalry anymore, Byrd beats them up pretty regularly)
Evangel-Calvary
Can't think of anymore at the moment.

Yea I agree. It used to be more competitive, but always a lot of talent.
Not sure what you mean by this. Each team has had runs where they win 4 or 5 in a row then the other gets on their run. Last year Destrehan won twice, by something like 10 in the regular season then barely in the quarters. This year Desty won 31-28 at home in a game that went to the final whistle.
It's a bitter rivalry and both teams usually go at least 2 or 3 rounds deep in the playoffs. Legit hate for the other on both sides.

Central vs Denham been playing for 69 years now and the head to head is 34-33-2 in Centrals favor

Salmen vs Slidell used to be an intense rivalry. There would usually be some fights at the games.

Destrehan vs Hahnville
Only 2 high schools in the parish, always featuring college talent, and directly across the Miss River from each other.

Love seeing Benton mentioned. I played for Benton in 86. Our big rivalry at that time was Plain Dealing.
When I think of LA high school football rivalries I immediately think of Ruston vs Neville.

Lutcher- St James.
River parish brawl, usually for district championship. Plenty of talent on the field.
