I've heard wnba is.

My personal experience was small conference college basketball.

I've also had success betting non-marquee college football games.

College basketball and college baseball.

College basketball has so many games that you can usually find several nice ones every Saturday. Obviously not the major matchups but mid major games can be good money makers

College football has really been doing it for me this year. Yes, several misses, some obligatory and some chance takers. But there’s free money there.

Vanderbilt covering against Auburn was free money that you don’t often get in life

Unless you are very sophisticated and devote alot of time, you won't beat the bookies. Maybe for the short term but not long term.

That being said, your best bet would be focusing on sports that arent very popular or small collegiate teams. If you can study those and gain knowledge that isn't widely know you may find an edge.

Otherwise just use gambling as entertainment. Bet on games you want to watch with amounts you don't care about losing.

I remember the guys I used to follow that gambled for a living only really did prop bets.

When I do gamble, which isn’t very often, I look for significant amounts of money on one team and bet towards the other. I try and bet with Vegas, and not against them.

It’s a misconception that Vegas wants equal money on both sides. They takes stands all the time.

Any smaller conference in college a fan would know more than the oddsmakers. Especially in basketball, more so in women’s basketball. As other people have mentioned college baseball too- in that bama betting scandal it was reported that was the only fan duel bet on a LSU/bama game, which Skenes was starting

I have profited most from MAAC and MVC games. MLB is profitable if you pay attention to matchups. I’m a Boston Bruins fan and have made a profit with their wins the past couple of years. Let our best goalie go in the offseason and I have not bet them so far this year and it’s proving to be a wise move.

Yeah there's some 300 mens D1 basketball teams. Someone that really studies and is really familiar with the smaller leagues and teams can likely eclipse the 52% winning percentage needed to beat the oddsmakers.

The oddsmakers are computer algorithms.
Having more personal knowledge on those smaller conferences kind of works both ways. You may think you know more than the computer, and sometimes you will, but in the long run the computer always wins. The more you bet, the more everythign balances out and the computer/oddsmaker eventually wins.

You have to be diligent and patient, and know what you're doing to beat the odds in the long run.

And I'd still like to kick Army's arse for not telling anyone until gametime that their star starting QB wasn't going to play.

If you really pay attention to recruiting and Spring/Summer practice and know the game well, there is no "easier" betting than the first 3-4 weeks of college football.

I put easier in quotes because it's still hard.

When I was in college and a little bit after, before kids and before my career really became a time suck, I was obsessed with college football 365 days a year. Knew the 3 deep at LSU and 2 deep at most other SEC schools. Read spring scrimmage notes from other teams, etc. I would win pretty big in the first month. Then it would level out. By the end of the year, it's as hard as anything, if not harder.

Emotions are such a huge part of college football. Big win one week, vs. let down. Home field advantage rattling kids. Locker rooms quitting on their coaches. Etc. That's another thing I find unique about it and if you're tuned in well, you can play off of it early in the year.
