Dude, the Lakers only had Worthy and Magic(in his last hurrah) left with a 1st year coach. Not saying they were bad, but saying they were at their top is a joke

Most people saying they saw MJ in his prime was still in their pre teens.
Not me. Well, maybe at the start of his prime, but his prime lasted 10 years, so I was well into college before he retired after his second three peat.

Valde Divac, Sam Perkins, Byron Scott and AC Green.

They weren't the legendary Lakers teams of previous years for sure, but they were better than you know.

I will admit. Jordan was much more of a cultural sensation then, Lebron could ever be.

Plus when I started watching him, I was completely consumed with bball. I was playing year round in school and aau and I watched every game of his I could. I bought as many shoes and posters as I could afford. Therefore in my mind nobody will ever be better then Jordan because he meant so much to me back then when I was a youngster.

Im an oldie, 52. I don't watch the NBA anymore, it's too much 1 on 1 and showoff shite. I grew up watching Dr. J, Kareem (I remember watching him when he was still Lew Alcinder), Wilt, Magic, Larry Bird, etc. Jordan is one of the best if not the best but he had help too. It's hard to say who is the actual GOAT since the way the game is played changes through the years. It's the same in other sports, older guys who've seen more tend to lean to someone from their era over a new guy.

They went 58-24 and still had Vlade, Scott, Sam Perkins, on top of Magic and Worthy.

As far as it being Magic's last hurrah it's not like he retired because the game had passed him by. He was 31 and in only in his 12th year in the league at that point. Still had a few years left if it wasn't for the HIV.

It's clear the young high schoolers and college studs are LeBron enthusiasts and the older crowd who grew up watching Jordan dominate side with MJ as the GOAT

I clearly don't fit into the young people loving LeBron stereotype. I might be the youngest poster

I try to avoid acting like "an adult".

When I go to festivals I say I'm 23. I look young, so nobody questions it.

I never said they weren't good. But to claim they were at their top is a joke. So they were as good as when they had Magic, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, James Worthy, Byron Scott, A.C. Green and Michael Cooper?
