What happens at say the Daytona 500 track in between Daytona 500s. I know they have Busch league races and what not but are there so many that it fills up the calendar and is able to help sustain the facility for the entire year? Or is one or two races all many of them ever see per year?

concerts, football games a some of them, car shows, amateur races. They find things to use t for but their big race is where all the money is made.

tours, smaller races, testing (tires/engines/etc) museums, concerts, corporate events, etc

The big bucks are made during the NASCAR weekends but they usually have shite going on year round at the tracks

You have "NASCAR experiences" where you get to ride in or drive a vehicle on the track.

The Pepsi 400 is there (or used to be anyway). I went there in 2007 I believe, for my buddy's bachelor party. I can't stand NASCAR, but that was honestly one of the most fun "sports things" I've ever been to. It was awesome.

The Rolex 24, which is a much better race.

Here at Kentucky they have testing(monster energy cup, nationwide, truck and arca), racing experiences(usually Kyle petty and rusty Wallace), people can pay to drive on the track in their own cars a couple times a month, car shows, obstacle courses that take place on speedway property(mud run, color run etc.).

They stay busy. Rarely a weekend where something isn't going on.

Tracks like Daytona typically don't have to worry about staying busy.

They still have it, but its called the Coke zero 400 now. My dad used to take me down to the race almost every year growing up. Its an awesome race to go. Its always got a late start, and ends at night. Its always right around July 4th and they have an awesome fire work show at the track after the race. Its like a chiller version of the 500.

Daytona will quickly convert the front stretch grass into a motocross track.

Also Daytona has another race in July, the Coke Zero 400. Another thing, the “Busch League” races (now called the Xfinitiy Series) take place the same weekends that the Cup Series is there.

Don’t forget the Rolex 24 Hour Race too. After attending that this year, I can honestly say that was the best sporting event (minus the SuperBowl) that I’ve been too. I’d prefer to go back to that than ever think about going to another Daytona 500 again.

I am sitting 1 mile from RIR or the Richmond track right now working and they have all kinds of events there. It is not located in the best area though being so old and being located so close to Richmond...the ghetto!

Ick. It'll always be the Pepsi 400 to me.

Always one of my favorite races of the year Brought me my only "favorite" Junior moment in 2001:
