11/20—212 yards———10.6 YPA——2tds——0int——125.4 rating

It was preseason, but that td pss where he threaded through those defenders and those slants to Calloway show this guy is the real deal to me

Tyrod Taylor was 5/5 for 99 yards and a TD against actual NFL starters

So you don’t think coaches or anyone should use preseason to evaluate at all?

He made throws yesterday against nfl players that a lot of qbs simply can’t

Him succeeding doesn’t worry me.

How he handles a bad day, a la Ryan Leaf, concerns me. And there’s going to be bad days in fricking Cleveland.

He also needs to be humble as all hell. If he starts doing all the shenanigans he did at Oklahoma he will fail miserably

He plays for the Browns. So this can go 1 of 2 ways.

1) He'll be a complete bust

2) He'll look unbelievable in the first 4 games of the season before a seasoning ending knee injury that derails the rest of his career

Play extremely well, throw accurate as hell especially on the run, win a ton of games? Those shenanigans?

Or are you under the retarded assumption that his confidence will do him in?

As is the case with most young QBs, and QBs in general, won't matter if his oline is shite.

Well you can scratch number 2 off.
He won't start until late in the season. And if Taylor keeps them semi competitive and somewhat in striking range for the playoffs until the last 5-6 games, he may not even start this year.

He looks tiny on that field. As far as actual talent level, it's preseason.

I didn't watch the Browns.

I watched the Saints game.

that's where I'm at now with the NFL. I love the Saints but I'm not quite the NFL junkie I use to be.

i'm sure at some point, i'll see some of Mayfield's highlights but that's a nice stat line he put up.
