1969 Cubs had an epic meltdown.

The Mets imploded in September a few years ago.

The 2002 Saints were 9-4 with three sub-.500 teams left on the schedule, including a terrible Bengals team. Finished 9-7 and missed the playoffs.

Pre-2004 Red Sox would certainly fit the Bill.

The Atlanta Falcons own the title, forever and ever.

I don't know how anyone could deal with being a Falcon fan after that SB choke for the ages.

They should freaking disband the franchise.

its right up there with Seattle not handing the ball to beast mode after he did a Jim brown imitation all down the field to the one.

Wilson chucking it got them down the field and Kearse made that crazy catch to give them first and goal.

Thats a really good one. Could also throw in the Reggie Miller Pacers as well.

I don’t know about all time, but I remember the 2008 Jets went 8-3 and then lost 4 of the final 5 to miss playoffs.

They looked like the best team in football when they blew out the 10-0 Titans in Nashville and then came apart at the seams. Favre playing hurt late in the season really cost them.

N.O. Breakers. Started 10-0, sucked balls the rest of the way.

1978 Red Sox have to be brought up. They were looking like one of the best teams ever and then just folded.....
