The "Blue Bloods" have been getting away with shite like this for decades..

There is no sports league on this planet more imbalanced than CFB

I can’t remember ANY one instance this blatant though. This is something you can’t even squint and play devils advocate. This is straight up robbery. A black and white call that directly affected the outcome of the game.

They won't even acknowledge a screw up.
They'll likely say something like 0:00 meant there was like 0:00.99 on the clock.

Closest one I can think of is Oklahoma @ Oregon in 2006. Oklahoma was up by 6 with about a minute left and recovered the onside kick. Somehow the refs declared it to be Oregon who recovered. Oregon went on to score a TD and win the game. LINK

I recall that one. Oklahoma guy comes up from the scrum holding the football, but refs award ball to Oregon.
BTW, your link needs editing...

Not the exact thing but similar happened in the NBA in 2008. Refs fouled Shaq out with 51 seconds left when he actually only had 5 fouls and the Heat lost. Discovered the mistake and they replayed the ending from that point a couple months later.

Exactly. Really bizarre that nobody seemed to notice. Link is fixed

Pp7 interception vs bama was pretty ridiculous.

Yeah, for as egregious as 5th down was, “maybe” Colorado is still able to get a (what should’ve been…) 4th down play off without spiking and score on it anyway (or they would’ve thrown on should-have-been 3rd down, knowing they didn’t have the spike in their back pocket).

As egregious as OU-Oregon was, “maybe” OU fumbles the kneel-down snap. Obviously extremely ridiculously unlikely in either case, but plausible.

If you admit the refs were wrong here, you admit WMU won. Period. No possible ridiculously unlikely hypotheticals.

He didn’t get in even on the 5th down. He was laying on his back and then reached the ball across the goal line.

Remember when Clowney crushed the Michigan RB for a game changing fumble? If you will recall that play was set up because the refs awarded Michigan a first down despite the chain measurement showing the ball was 3 or 4 inches short on a 4th down play.. If not for that hit, SC would have been screwed out of a win.

His comment was dumb, but to say it wasn’t an interception is even dumber.

*Also, I’ve never really believed LSU wins that game even if the refs make the correct call on that play*

If the Hail Mary was reversed, do you think they add 0:01 to the clock so that Western Michigan can get another shot?
