They chose Michigan vs Iowa over ole miss v Florida in the swamp which looks like it’s going to turn into another great SEC game.

You guys are simply impressed by pageantry than the actual football. Yes, the SEC has bigger stadiums and more rabid fans and prettier girls and the media slobberknocks over you. But you had all that last year. Other teams and conferences are getting better each and building towards December nit trying to see how many times they get Gameday in campus.
I’m watching Ole Miss and Florida and these teams have exciting players but they don’t have the lines and the toughness.

A lot less money was involved too.
Both the sec and big 10 went for multiple games on the same network- cbs only was looking for one game a week.

So games in the 40’s are awesome and games with defense suck. Ok. But one shows up in Decemvber and January.

Yeah. It's what makes college football college football. There are 150+ years of pageantry and tradition that makes the sport special and unlike any other on the planet.
Do you think people tune in to watch the Army-Navy game in December for the football or for the pageantry and tradition that game represents?

I get it. I’m a southern football guy and fan, but all these teams that the media builds up and you guys fawn over aren’t that great. Michigan-Iowa was a great football game. Ole Miss-Florida is just flag football with a lot of pretty girls. Yet the SEC will still have half their teams ranked. And then you guys are shocked at playoff results.

What does my team have to do with anything? I’m not here spouting GT or ACC nonsense. I’m responding the total self flagellation of so many SEC fans. And I’m a SEC fan, but you guys could get all 12 playoff spots and you’d still be saying you should get more. The 2 best things in college football the past 30 years was the SEC rising up and dominating the bagmen era and then the SEC falling from grace and ushering in a pay for play model where teams like Indiana can win a title. That is great for the sport. Watching Bama win title after title leads to apathy.
