My wife's dad got caught in Lake Borgne when one kicked up. He had to drive around it, and ended up being close at one point. He said it felt like the transom was gonna rip right off.
Those things are freaky. He also said you can't see it when you're close to it.

I never got closer than a couple hundred yards to one. But the ones I saw were usually small and weak looking. It was nothing to see 5 or 6 in an afternoon on Lake Chien (stay out of there)

I'm still riding high after my victory int he 2-man best ball/shamble President cup tourney. we also finished 3rd in the horse race and I made $190 off a $36 bet by betting on myself in the pari mutual....walked away to the tune of nearly $600. tough to top that weekend. I hit some memorable shots and me and my pads played the best brother in law golf you could possibly play on day 2, coming back from three down net and 4 down gross to win both.
I won't touch a club again till friday.

Meh, I played golf and then imbibed and gave the old lady a once-over. I would say our weekends were a push.

Lipped out 2 putts. Shot 41 walking the front at Calvert. Instantly regretted that decision.

I go to Dallas twice a year. I drive now and bring my clubs. Stop along the way and find a course to play and always hit top golf one night . First time I went it was 3 people now we have about 8 that always want to go. Will be there again in August and can't wait.

I might have to bite the bullet and buy a Superstroke grip. Everyone raves about them. I might putt with my friends one round and see how I do.
I've had horrible scores the past few days. Shot like a 48 today. We started playing from the tips because my friends are long hitters. It really hasn't been that harder for me, I've just had some bad blow up holes. Had a 10 yesterday and a 9 today. Other than a few bad holes each round, I've hit the ball well. Just bad course management when I get in trouble.

I have the Winn jumbo pistol grip on my putter that I love. Didn't like the superstroke.

I tried all of the Superstrokes, Winn, and Ping oversized. Didn't like the Ping at all. I was very close to going with the Winn. It felt good, plus it was black. The white of the Superstroke scared me. So far so good though.
