I'm only able to hit balls. No play for me

me too. I am in the dog house right now, and if I even mention golf I will probably be single again real soon.

Dancing Rabbit in Philadelphia, MS on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I've heard it's pretty nice, hoping that's true.

Hit the range yesterday for some good ole fashioned practice. Hit well, having trouble finding the driver consistency.

Good to hear. The website has some quote from Golf Magazine about it being "the Augusta you can play." I don't know about all that, but if it's anything close to fitting that description, I'm sure it'll be awesome.

Just hit Copper.

The place is rough/slow. Greens are getting worse.

They've been punched. There are some greens that are better than others. I wouldn't go there for a month, at least.

The rest of the course is in good shape. Gonna hit Friday again most likely.

Thanks for the update. The courses around here fail to share this info when booking a tee time. Maybe we can keep a list in these threads.

I was thinking the same. It's that time of year. Well, it's about to be.

No complaints about the place other than that. They were 90* with caution. Sill kind of wet up there. Kind of surprised they allowed that.

Oh, and it was the kind of weather you can wear.

Pisses me off when courses don't do tell you greens have been aerified. And greens fees should be discounted when this is the case. Nothing pisses me off more when going to play somewhere and I find this out on the putting green.

Well, in Copper's case, if you hit the green with your approach it looked like you hit a puddle. Except instead of water, it was a splash of sand.

On a lighter note, I stuck a bunch of greens today.

I'm playing Meadow Lake in Keithville, La. tomorrow. It's been 7 months since my group of 3 has played it.

They don't water the course so during a drought we skip it. But it's been raining like cats and dogs in Shreveport this Spring so it should be good.
