Worst call since the Devin White targeting call

The US will 100% appeal the red card and suspension, and that appeal will almost certainly be denied.

Just a pet peeve, but it’s not “we”. It’s “they.” You’re just cheering them on.
That is such a strange “pet peeve”.

I think it's absolutely ridiculous anyone is bothered by the we. In fact it just makes me want to say we more.
We pick teams and as fans we refer to our teams as we. Especially when talking among a group about our favorite team. Deal with it.
Would sports even exist without fans?
It actually feels odd to me as a fan to go out of my way to refer to them as USA or LSU.
Players come and come, but fans remain... Fans devote time and even money. Let us have we, Debbie Downer.

Per the athletic, red cards or subsequent suspensions can’t be appealed according to a FIFA official.

additionally
International Tournaments (e.g., World Cup, Gold Cup)For USMNT or USWNT players in FIFA-sanctioned tournaments, the process goes through a different governing body.Appealing Body: Appeals must be lodged with the FIFA Disciplinary Committee.Process: Team staff must submit a brief containing facts, arguments, and video evidence for consideration.
Outcome: While teams can challenge straight red cards, FIFA rarely overturns judgment calls, particularly those that have already been reviewed by the video assistant referee (VAR) on the pitch
you should start fewer threads,,esp if you gonna expose your ignorance in the thread title

100% wrong
Sports as entertainment would not exist without fan support. So yes, it’s “we”

Meh, I really do not care if someone says "we" when referring to their teams, especially in person, because it rolls off the tongue. However, flexing to another fanbase (i.e., "We own you") is weird.

This fn Merica so “we” is absolutely acceptable.
Hope you don’t lose a digit lighting fireworks this weekend.
