he's been a pest in the wrong way since his return to active duty.

he's an idiot.

tomorrow all of social media will be all over his jock and questioning the move to sign him all day.

nice way to get ready for the Seahawks I guess.

Yeah, expectations are definitely the same right now with no Romo..

In DFW, sports media fully expected the Cowboys to win without Romo. They thought that the Cowboys would possibly lose 2 of the games while Romo was out. The Saints game was the big face slap of reality. Even without Romo, they thought that there was no way they'd lose to New Orleans. Reality has fully set in but the division is so pathetic, they are still in the running for the honor of losing in the first round of the playoffs.

The Hardy incidents are very typical of Dallas. Jones has hired malcontents, murderers, and accused felons in an effort to win. Most Dallas fans excuse Hardy's actions towards his girlfriend so they certainly don't care how he treats grown men.

Worst franchise on many levels, worst fans on all levels.

Not sure what media you're referring to, but I don't think anyone in their right mind was saying that. Most everyone hoped the Cowboys could grab two games and be sitting around 4-5 by the time Romo made it back. One of those was the Bucs and the other needed to be a lucky win against anyone else. Not sure if you mixed up your numbers or if you're just making shite up, but unless the "media" was your diehard Cowboys fan uncle there's not anyone around here who was proclaiming that.

On the off chance there was, please link their piece so I can make sure to never follow them for anything regarding sports.

Totally concur.

I think the attitude of all of Cowboy fandom, when Romo went down (along with the loss of Bryant, Skandrick, and Lee) was ,"We're fricked".

The injuries killed us, but what hurts worse is that it felt like last year we had a bunch of younger, class guys that would make up a strong core for a good future. I didn't like that we had Hardy looming (even though he is an excellent talent).... But now it's like the locker room cancers are adding up again, and we're nowhere near Super Bowl competitive, so that sucks. And Christin Michael seems like more baby back bitch than stud as well. It's ok that Dez can be an irate psycho at times with his rambunctious celebrations, because well, he's Dez. But we don't have a lot of room for more guys like that. I'm not sure the ship won't be too far gone to turn around when everyone gets back, the way it's going. And in every close game, it feels like God is gonna punish us for signing assholes again.

Umm, I think the general consensus among ALL Cowboys fans and friendly media was just stay afloat and win maybe 2 and 3 would be beautiful, during this stretch. And the 2 would be the Saints and Giants yesterday. Now Seattle is prob a must win instead of just a bonus we were hoping for. But I assure you that nobody in their right mind was confident we could still get it done. We were just praying to make a D and then pass the finals when the cavalry comes back.

All the Saints are doing is killing theit draft position by beating these awful teams.

Not a Saints fan, but it seems like they're learning to win with a lot of young talent, which to me, trumps draft position.

I think it's ridiculous to condone sandbagging losses this early in the season to maybe get a decent draft pick. I'd much rather teach the 15 young guys that I have all over the field to learn how to win in this league.

And you can't really fault Jerrah for having the mindset of signing the best guy available as long as he's deemed eligible. If he ain't helping us, he could be helping someone else that we have to compete with.... BUT, I do think he's been terrible at signing those kinds of guys, and keeping their personalities in check. It's almost like he just accepts that, "oh, that's just how they're gonna be. As long as they aren't raping or killing anyone, let them be loud and combative towards teammates and coaches."
