I'm sure some do, but I hope they respect the privacy of the family. If they don't want those details to be released, I hope they stay hidden.

Prayers for his family because they are going to be going through hell asking "why?" for a long time and I can't imagine the constant torment of that. Maybe he had CTE?

Does anyone have a clue why he might've done this?

Well, he did leave a note. Not sure if that helps a family in this situation or not.

Man. That is terrible. Prayers sent. Hope his family and friends can find peace in this tragedy.

I hate it especially for the Wazzu football team and coaching staff. Those guys are undoubtedly around him all the time. They may go around kicking themselves for a while wondering if they missed some signs

I’d imagine that those close to him would have some sort of idea of what may have pushed him to this point (girls, family, drugs, grades, etc).. the public will never find out, nor should we.

Such a horrible situation

Grammatical mistake aside, it still doesn't make sense. You can't worry about someone who doesn't say anything if they don't...say anything. It's just odd wording

This is a very sad story

Suicide rates are increasing with social media and technology improvements. People are growing farther apart and living in fairy tale worlds. I myself have these issues and it sucks. Suicide prevention is one of the biggest charities I work with because this is a true epidemic.

The National Suicide Prevention Lifeline's number is 1-800-273-8255

Please, if you ever need help, call them. It's not weak. It's not unmanly. It's nothing but brave to seek help when you're going through a tough time. You're never alone. Please talk to someone.

You are not correct there are signs and usually play out.

Retreating from peers, chronic fatigue, not finding joy in things you like etc.

Again it’s the people who display this but don’t verbalize how they feel or their ideation. That is what you worry about. If someone reaches out you have a chance and generally they do not have a plan.

Hard to fathom a 21 year old kid with a whole life ahead of him leaving the world behind. Terribly sad.

Had a friend of mine take his life at 21 in college. A lot of us don’t understand how difficult depression can be to some people and how it effects them.

I’d suggest if anyone ever reaches out to you use active listening and have them use I feel statements

Other forms of verbal deescalation are
Redirection
Reflection

I was watching earlier when he got thrown into their game against Boise after Falk got hurt and led an incredible comeback win in 3OT. He was on fire

That was one of the best SAD games in a long time.

What a sobering reminder of how little we know about the young men who give us so much enjoyment during football season.

Prayers to his family and his loved ones. I can't fathom what a difficult time they're going through.

Agreed, I saw he left a note. I hope we never find out the contents of that. His family deserves the privacy.
