Cousins is exemplary why marginal at best White QBs can have long careers but marginal at best Black QBs get ran out of the NFL. That's racist. There will be no racism when non-White people can be as mediocre as Whites and still benefit.

LOL

You think owners and coaches care? They're just trying to win to save their own asses.

Guys like RG3 get "ran" out of the league because they're not good at playing the QB position and their style of play lends them to injuries. There have been plenty of black QBs who had long, successful careers but none of them were 5'9" 170 lbs guys who are fragile as glass.

I'm looking for the Black Matt Hasselbeck.

See, that's your problem. You're comparing a QB like RG3 to freaking Matt Hasselback. Hasselback at least fits the mold of a pro-style, pocket passer NFL QB.

Stopped reading. Who are these people who are provoked by a black quarterback? I don't care if Brandon Harris is black, white or green, I want him to lead LSU to victory.

Some people just want to see racism and so they'll concoct it where it doesn't exist for the purpose of a straw man. I'm sure when Warren Moon played this element existed, but it's negligible now.

Kordell Stewart is a bad example. He was more a runner and had accuracy issues.

I was thinking Byron Leftwich--solid pocket passer who unfortunately couldn't stay healthy.

Rodney Peete, Vince Evans, Jeff Blake, and Charlie Batch are the perfect examples.

Kordell and Cunningham are the guys you don't consider since they ran.

Williams was a statue, Hassleback was a speed merchant compared to him.

You can name a handful of average Black QBs, some of whom, were/are above average at some point in their careers like Vick, Leftwich, Randall Cunningham, and Doug Williams. But, a QB like Hasselbeck and Cousins WERE NEVER average or above average. Furthermore, guys like Vick and Cunningham were bonafide stars in the NFL at one time so they've more than earned the right to sit back and collect checks. Also, Doug Williams was out of the NFL no more than a season or two after winning the Super Bowl. That wouldn't happen to a White QB who did the same.

Please don't compare the numbers of average Black NFL QBs with the numbers of average White QBs in the NFL because you will lose. I can find at least one average to below White NFL QB on every roster who's just collecting a check.

What? Dude was a damn good QB in his peak.

Also, Tavaris Jackson has bounced around the NFL and made plenty of spot starts, same with Charlie Batch.
