Here's tony Stewart leaving the "relative safety" of his car to throw his helmet at another car.
What does that have to do with anything?

Didn't it sound, and I don't know if it was TS car, but when he reached Ward, sounds like he hit the gas and kinda veered toward Ward. And don't tell me they can't stop those cars. Tony knew who it was because he just ran into the fence. I think he should have stopped and let Ward say his peace and go on. I believe if the great Toney stops, the officials would not intervene. At least the dude wouldn't be dead.

Stout...I suspect there will be some public outcry TO pursue it. Hell, there already is with as many people claiming "intentional act".

Because he should be mourning a little because he just killed someone..... whether intentional or not, he killed someone. It makes him look insensitive if he races today. That's how. If you can't see that, there's no use in discussing. His management should tell him not to race today.

Can we all stop for a moment and be thankful that this incident involves two people of the same race? At least we won't have to be subjected to NBA teams tweeting pictures in protest. I doubt the president even mentions it.

I fricking hate TS, but anyone who thinks this was intentional knows nothing about dirt tracks and sprint cars. This is what you get when you run into the middle of the goddamned track.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. No real excuse for him to get hit, but raging in the middle of a race track isn't the best way to do things.

The funny thing is I don't think you are joking. You really believe this.

The guy got out of his car and walked into oncoming traffic.

How do you know it's TS's car you heard?

You don't.

How do you know he accelerated if you can't see his car before he hits Ward?

You can't.

You see what you want to see. His car goes up the track after Ward gets caught on his right rear... which makes sense. I've already said I think Tony was going too fast. I think TS's a hot headed little bitch who whines more than anyone in the sport. But I don't let that blind me to what we can deduce from the video.

I suppose it all hinges on whatever is on this GoPro.

It's kind of hard though to make a convincing argument on stewart's behalf that Ward simply walked into Stewart's rear tire. Stewart had to have done something to cause the back end to contact Ward. I don't disagree Ward should not have left his car though.

As to Stewart's previous actions, I feel like it establishes a pattern of heated retaliation and incidents he's been involved in at pretty much all levels of racing, and would start to explain why he may have done something stupid here.

After seeing the video I highly doubt anything happens to TS.

Kid was a freaking dumbass getting out like that

At what point do you think Tony saw him? The track is dimly lit and the guy was wearing a black suit. Plus you have a lot of dirt on the windshield that blurs your vision, and a car directly in front of him. He probably didn't see him until he was right up on him.

People cope with tragedies in many different ways. Tony's outlet is obviously racing. Not even that big a secret. Maybe you or I wouldn't race, but we aren't him. Calling him insensitive is disingenuous.

This is an unnecessarily combative statement.

His management should be doing whatever best helps Tony cope with this situation. And it appears that they are.

So you guys aren't discussing Stewarts decision to race today?
People have brought it up. Not really relevant to what happened last night.
