Racing is a different beast than other sports. A lot of the drivers just enjoy racing and race events like this quite often.
Less stress than racing NASCAR and just a way to have a little fun.

Stewart doesn't have a wife and kids so all he does is race. Not surprising to see him out on the track.

Wtf is this guy doing jumping out on the cool down lap? You're asking for trouble. Holy stuoid shite bat man. In dirt racing it takes at least lap and half for everyone to slow down to caution speed. Even without Stewart incident that was stupid

Looks like a terrible accident.
Could easily see it as TS accelerating to avoid Ward, who foolishly got out of his car, walked on the track, and walked toward TS's car.
I've watched the video several times and you can't tell that TS mowed the guy done to "teach him a lesson." What you can tell is Ward goes on the track and points at him, seemingly getting in the way of a speeding car.
Tragedy all around, but it looks like an accident and I could understand TS wanting to raise today to clear his mind for a few hours. This'll be something that haunts him forever.

TS should have gone to the left, away from him, instead of directly into him if he wanted to avoid hitting him

The guy is walking in the middle of track during a race, he was bound to get hit. He got directly in Tony Stewart's path. Either he was going to get hit or cause a huge wreck and get himself and other killed too

He's not going to be charged with anything.
The kids family will file a civil suit, get a couple million from TS's camp and that'll be the end of it.

anyone can still clearly see that the first car is not much lower on the track than TS.

Based off that video? Nothing will be charged. That kid was in the wrong the second he decided to get out of his car and run into oncoming traffic.
